In the Yak?

Nope, bass fishing in the boat up north. Spied some structure kinda outta place and checked it out. Grabbed the UL with jig/plastic and sore lipped a half dozen 13"-13.5" crappies, let 'em go and moved on.  I generally keep 'em in the 10"-12" range when I want a meal.

Hey @eyeguy 54 caught this fattie on a polka dot lure this afternoon from widow maker jigs. Something about that paint scheme just triggers these fish:

Been a long goal of mine to crack 10” and this guy came up just short at 9 3/4”. Still a respectable blue gill for this area. Odd coloring I thought also was more black and white and no blue or orange. I broke 9” on a few fish today  that all were released.

along with the water you pulled it from!

I was fishing the outside edge of that mess and then while measuring and getting a weight I drifted into it. No fancy spot locks on the kayak fish finder lol

Great day on water this morning. Kept a few eaters before lightning and storms pushed me off. Released some really nice gills also.

Still trying to crack 10” I’m not sure this guy could get any closer lol. I think if I measured it on a flat surface it would get there. The gunnels on the bottom of the kayak are not the best to measure on. I probably could’ve made a better effort and found a better surface to measure on but I wanted to get the fish back for a  quick release. Water temp still 77.8 degrees ☀️
