Fish Head
So where are all the FM’ers going this year on the opener? Going up North? Staying in the Cities? I'm curious how many people are going to follow the stampede of boats out on Red Lake. As for me, I'm going to Cass again.15 days, 8 hrs, 18 min's, and 24 sec's left until Opener! hanson
Opener? What's an opener? Had a full weekend sturgeon fishing on Lake of the Woods last weekend. Been catfishing on the Mississippi pretty steadily over the last month. Might wet a line for some suckers this weekend. What are we waiting for to open again? DTro
Hanson, I swear....I just clicked on the say the same exact thing. It's funny 10-15 years ago, the "opener" was the highlight of the year for me. Now....nothing, nadda. I probably had more fun tonight than all the "openers" combined. barnyard
Planning to take my cycle up to Huntersville the weekend of the walleye opener and get a course ready an enduro on the weekend of the muskie opener. My daughter told me that walleyes don't get big enough to justify the time it takes to catch them.I've been raising her on a steady diet of cats, carp and now sturgeon.Tom B

walleyeking#8
Probably in the Willmar/Spicer area. If not I will probably head west to bigstone or maybe even further west into N.E. South Dakota. To tell you the truth, I am really not sure where I will go yet. The weather will determine my location. Goodluck to everyone who ventures out this year. Opie
For me and the outlaws I run with, it will be the Big V for our annual opener excursion. Been going to the same place for years, always get a few fish, but get well over our limits of laughter, entertainment, and stories to keep everyone excited until the following year's opener.Great time with a bunch of old friends, and even a few fish to be caught.......what could be better?Cliff, if your lurking this post, I will be venturing to the east end sometime over opener to see Bob. Will stop by and say hi if your around, or see you on the lake. That was a great time on the Rainy, thanks again for giving us a bed for the night.Dean Thorn
