Egg Boiling People

Recommended Posts

Hey Eyeguy, you wouldn't be taking this egg poking to a new level would ya? grin

CO Chad Thesing (Albany) reports a TIP call was investigated in which a man at an apartment complex was seen taking two Canada goose eggs from a nest. The man was found and interviewed and admitted to taking the eggs. The man had eaten the goose eggs for dinner. He stated that they tasted like chicken eggs, but the whites of the eggs were more rubbery. Enforcement action was taken for taking geese out of season.

We own a couple dozen chickens and boil a lot of eggs, so I have tried many different tricks and techniques for getting an easier peel. Honestly, I have yet to find a single technique that works every time. Just when I think I've discovered the secret, I'll do another batch that way and it will be impossible to peel.

For those lost souls unnecessarily poking eggs you better be careful because the price of eggs is through the roof now.  Over $3/dozen at one grocery store I was at yesterday.  Picked up a dozen at Kwik Trip for $0.99 instead.

And still only .99 at the local Kwik Trip. Article in the local paper about a bar here that is buying all their eggs from Kwik Trip so they don't have to raise the price on their breakfasts....

Saw yesterday the local Kwik-Trip raised their prices to $1.29.

And $3.49 at Waldo Mart.... Eye_Roll_Emoticon_by_Konton_Kyoudai.gif  Girl at Kwik-Trip said they won't go any higher than $1.29...

This is where my wife buys our eggs most often but I'd pay much more if I had to. I eat 2 eggs every morning for breakfast, even at $5 per dozen that would be .83 cents per day.
