bite the flap off and quite whineing

O man I have done that in the past, probably not on a cut that bad, but done it just the same. And I also used to carry black electrical tape in my Steelheader vest and patched a few nasty cuts that way. Just hate to waste a day of fishing especially if I have traveled a ways.

I had that same thing happen to me this year as I was getting ready to go to Mille Lacs for the evening bite and I decided to change my blades before I went as I thought I had some duller blades on.......well the bolt was on tight and as I was trying to loosen it up I thought I am going to cut myself I should cover that blade...then the man in me said keep going and slip I was now bleed like crazy on my thumb!!! After tracking blood throughout the house I bandaged it up grabbed a bunch of paper towels and more bandaids and went fishing....caught fish too!!! dealt with the cut all day and still it still stings in the area a month later but it is healed up!!!

Gosh, I'm glad I'm not the only foolish one! grin I touched a blade one time a few years back...fishing was pretty good, so I cut up one of my towels, wrapped up the digit, covered it with electrical tape, and kept fishing. We were hole hopping outside. Later I got in the vehicle and headed home, wanted to warm up so I unwrapped things...as the feeling came back, it just throbbed in excruciating pain. I thought I had frostbite or did permanent damage, but luckily it went away.

+2 on the Superglue, it stings for a min. but good to go after that. Always have a tube in the tacklebox

Superglue is awesome. Its hard to find but if you can find the superglue gel, it works even better. No more runny mess, and you can mound it up to get a great barrier.
