First fish of the 2014 open water season! 30 3/4" 6.2 lbs. Caught her at Lura Lake on a drop shot rig, 14" from weight to hook. Used the worm below, I cut it to 4.5" full-47957-45790-tmp_cam00290311464006.j

the best way I've found to get a decent photo when you are alone is to set the phone to video put the phone in a good spot and take a short video and then capture a screen shot from the video.

My kids taught me this.

Another thing you can do is set your camera to a timer. I use my smartphone and set the timer to 10 seconds. I hit the button, prop the phone up on the boat seat, and step back. My phones video is less quality than camera. Not a big deal, but I found a way I can use camera.

Some really nice fish have been posted. Congrats to the lucky anglers.

I have to post this one just cuz I think it's a real nice pic. We were fishing for bass today with 4 inch ring worms and spinning gear. We literally caught everything in the lake - the bass we were after plus walleyes, crappies, sunnies, and of course pike. This one came from 8 FOW. Super fun fight.
