Ok that makes sense. When I saw swan I figured it was an member id.

When I went to cub today I asked the HS kid if they had any  I got "I know we have them I just don't know where they'd be". I said freezers maybe by the other tots he said "what makes you think that"

You can't make it up!

Fake quote. I never said anything about 'Swans". I thought you were against fake quotes?

Shrimp boil in foil packets on the pellet grill. Potatoes, corn, Andouille sausage, shrimp, lemon slices, butter and Cajun seasoning. I usually use some Old Bay in my shrimp boil but I was out and didn't know it until I started putting it all together.

How long and what temp did you cook this? Looks really good I want to give it a try now.

The recipe I sort of followed said to cook it for 15-17 minutes at 350 but it took about 25-30 minutes to get the potatoes done even though I sliced them thin.

It's worth a try. We do a shrimp boil sometimes when we go camping with a group. I do it in the turkey pot and follow the recipe from Old Bay seasoning w-e-b-s-i-t-e except I like to add some chicken as well. It is very good and everyone loves it.

I too am going to try that, done it with burger before.  I think with shrimp I'd maybe pre-cook the taters some, half way??  then cut foil cause shrimp cook super fast!!  thanks for the idea!!

and old bay is a must on that!!!

Yeah, none of the recipes say to pre-cook the potatoes but I think I might do it next time or else just open the packets and throw the shrimp in at the end. I was surprised though that the shrimp was good and didn't seem too over cooked. I think the key is to make sure to use raw shrimp not pre-cooked.

If you're feeling adventurous some time follow the same process you just explained but instead of using a rib rub try using a generous amount of Montreal Chicken seasoning with yellow mustard as your glue.  Also, try a wing or thigh before using the Famous Dave sauce.

Goof Luck

We were "missing" a few pieces of chicken between the time we took them out of the smoker and put them on the grill with the BBQ sauce. They vanished, I swear!

we do a package similar to big dave's shrimp boil but with walleye

layer of sliced new taters on the bottom, then the walleye filet, add carrots, bell pepper and sweet onion from the garden, w/butter pat and old bay

i seal the packet and poke once with a fork to let some of the steam escape. on the grill at 350 for 40 minutes

    • Nice bag of fish there Duff!   I was out for about an hour and a half last night and managed 9 bites; 4 bass and 5 pike.  Only 1 bass and 2 pike made it to the boat though.  Horrible conversion rate.   The bite is still on reaction baits for me.  Buzz bait, spinner bait, rattle bait, jerk bait.  Nothing on plastic which is usually my go to.  It’s been weird with all the short bites lately.  I’ve had very few fish that have crushed the bait.  Earlier I figured it was a food thing - they were just too well fed.  I’m hoping that’s still the case cuz those bass have DEEP bodies on ‘em.  I’m starting to wonder though if the pressure is getting to them.  We’ve had a noticeable uptick of new fisher people in the area.   The side action: Had a couple turkeys glide by and up to their roost next to me about 10 minutes after watching a nice 10 pointer stand up out his bed.  Yawn, stretch, [PoorWordUsage] and watch me fish for bit before wandering off to feed.  Bad photo but better n nuthin.
    • I like the walnut one.   Crack the shell, add some water, wrap it in a wet paper towel, it germinates, keep in a sunny area, and then they show these magic walnuts.     I think they left out about 15 years.  LOL.
    • Finally, had a decent day.......or shall I say hour. Last week was a bust, one 3ish fish in 4 hours. I target bigger fish, so just avoiding the skunk can be challenging some days.   Just let out the hound and had a smirk appear on my face, I see It's full moon out there. That always helps. Got out on the water at 3:00 today, missed 3 out of 4 bites right away.   Changed up my retrieval speed and cadence and it was on..........for a few minutes. All my action occurred within the first hour of my four hour stint.   4 cookie cutter bass....... 3.87 lb 3.94 lb 4.12 lb 4.16 lb   Spot on spot, the two 4's were back to back. I'm running cranks.   Good luck out there. The Fattening is coming up soon.
