What's the most useful thing you have in the garage?

I was wondering what folks thought as being a great thing to have. Different answers may be given if I were to post this say on the automotive forum, but maybe some of those folks get down here to the home improvement section.

The thing that I find most useful is a portable foldable work table. Many years ago John Deer tractors were shipped with a metal frame for the packing. I got a couple of them and use two for a wood storage shelf system.

But the one that I have for the table is the best. It sits at a near perfect height when set up. I have a couple of old formica table tops that are 4 feet square that I can put on top of the frame. I used it a lot on the dog kennel and a few weeks ago it was the thing I used to work on the snowblower. When I am done I can take out a few bolts and fold it up and stick it away.

The garage furnace is also right up there, and a good number of florescent lights that actually light when cold have been great.

What is the thing that you think it most useful?

full size freezer, love buying food in bulk (specially for growng family) and have it last 2-3 weeks, also saves on trips to grocery store. added bonus is offers us opportunity to buy orgainic pork & beef directly from farmer to table 1/2 animal at a time.

My workbench, with heater below for winter comfort, fridge stocked with beer to left, stero above the fridge, can crusher to the right of the bench, light above bench, and deck off garage for summer relaxation.

My dad has an old heavy-duty Singer sewing machine set up in the corner of his garage. He has almost every gadget you could want, but as strange as it sounds that sewing machine sees as much use as anything. Fixing boat and snowmobile covers, tarps, sewing up hinges out of leather, it seems like someone is always using it for some kind of project. The fridge, range, microwave, and flat screen TV are pretty nice, too. It's a great place to hang out if a guy has a couple spare hours on the weekend. My next house will have a nice heated, and preferrably detached, garage.

I would say my boys. They are always wondering what I am fixing and how they can help. Even though they get more in the way it is just fun having them out there with me. Some of the boards they put 1000's of nails in and the things they try to crush with the bench top vise make me just laugh.

Reminds me of myself at that age.....

Oh yeah that beer fridge is also a must have.

Two things that are the most useful aren't there presently but will be hopefully soon. The boat and my new toy, a 2013 Shelby Super Snake expected mid April. Both are very good for the mind.
