Brand new Browning BAR LongTrac 30-06 semi-auto with Nikon Monarch 2.5x10

My son will be shooting my "Rubber Band Gun" 30-30 pump that 25 years ago had a rubber band wrapped around the end of the pump to deaden the wood hitting metal sound. My Dad let me hunt with it for the first time almost 20 years ago after I shot a couple other guns in my first couple seasons. I have shot a lot of deer with that old rubber band gun while a Woodsmaster 30-06 semi-auto lay in a case as the gun I was suppose to graduate to. I liked the 30-30 pump so much I have continued to hunt with it until this year. Throwing 170 grain Core-Lokt that gun knocked a lot of deer down.

.308 Savage 99C lever action with a Leopold 2 to 7 scope. I use 180 gr. Corelokt ammo. This is a rifle my dad won in a raffle in 1965 (1966?), less the Leopold scope.

I've used my grandpa's Savage 99 chambered in a .300 Savage before, pretty cool gun.

I'll be using my Browning X-Bolt 7mm Mag w/ a Leupold VX-II

I'll be using my Bowtech Tribute up until opener though.

7mm mag with a Leupold VX III and 162 grain Hornady bullets. Zeroed at 1.5 inch high at 100 yards.

At 240 yards, she shoots about 2 inches low.

Ruger M77 300 win mag stainless steel with a Leupold VX III and 180 grain Hornady bullet. This gun has been glassbedded and has a muzzle brake on it. The barrel has also been fluted. Very accurate.

My 300 is a bit of overkill on whitetail but it's a great gun to shoot and drops them usually in their tracks. Just don't want to hit a front or hind quarter.

Browning A-5 for slugs and a Traditions Vortek Ultra-Light Muzzy for the longer shots. The Browning shoots Brenneke's great but I might chose the Muzzy for the shot this year...new gun...shoots great and I've never killed a deer with it yet. Will have both on stand...situation will be the key as to which one I shoot.

My shot will be 50 yards and in...guaranteed!!

Good luck to you all...

I am still toying with the idea of bringing my .308 AND my muzzleloader with me to my stand. I would use the .308 if I have a longer shot and the ML if I get a close shot (<75 yards). I've done that a couple times in the past, but have yet to see a deer when I have the ML with me. If only the ML wasn't so darn heavy; it's a Pedersoli replica of the Kentucky long rifle and weighs at least twice as much as my .308!! My hunting buddies think I'm nuts...and may be right LOL
