0 DTro
I think if you get there and stand in line by midnight tonight, you should be good to go by Fri am. Wear some warm clothes. Shouldn’t be too bad. Good Luck
0 Scott K
Bring a lawn chair, a cooler of beverages, a rod holder, fishing pole, and cast out, and hope for a bite. It works to kill time in the summer months
0 CJH
Depend on what time they release them or what time the sale officially begins. I would give them a call and ask.I would also plan on getting there very early, as DTRO is alluding to. My brother in law got there last year at 3AM and there were already people there standing with their hands on them. They were already all claimed, even though they didn't officially go on sale until 5AM. (they usually have limited stock of those items)Good Luck! 0 PierBridge
I'm heading out at 5pm Thurs for an all-nighter to make sure I get the 19.99 blender "normally 29.99" I'm just going to bring a deck of cards and play solitaire until the doors open...I'll be ticked if I don't get the Blender.... 0 Jim Almquist
Scoot you should go to resellerratings and check out the price of similar sets. I just did a quick look at the sets that are on sale at Walmart and it looks like the LCD sets are mostly 60hz units and that is old technology because most LCDs are now 120hz to 240hz and that makes the picture quality a lot better when watching fast moving things like sports and such and the price at resellers is not that much more and you might very well get free shipping. 0 Scoot
Oooops, as usual I forgot one important detail- I'm going to buy it online. I'd rather pay $200 extra then go there and wait in line only to have my knee cracked by some old granny with a cane!!!I'm going to order it online. When can I access their HSOforum and get the TV at the black Fri price?Sorry I didn't mention this in my original post- kinda DUM.
0 DTro
I don’t think you can get some of these “doorbusters” online. Maybe you can?If that was the case I bet everyone would sit at home and do that.If I were you, I would check out slickdeals and fatwallet. Both sites have up to date info on all the hottest deals. You might find an even better deal.
0 mamohr686
I agree with Jim. I bought my last toshiba lcd off of buydig dot com and got free shipping and paid no taxes. Saved over $500 from buying locally, but I gave them a chance to match the price before I bought it. I got the latest technology (which is almost already outdated) at a great price. TV's price plummets this time of year. Some manufactures requre a sale from an "authorized dealer" for warranty work, but some brands can be brought to any dealer for replacement or repair.lol at pierbridge.I would pay an extra $10 to avoid walmart on black friday. My time is worth a lot more than that, without the lines and frustration of rude people.

0 zamboni
You guys see the commercials on TV that Old Navy is starting their sales at 3 AM? Next year it will be, 2 and then 1 the next year. Kinda getting outta hand
0 RumRiverRat
WalMart has implemented new policies because of all the trampling deaths in the last few years. You will get a slip to purchase the item and then you will have to go around the to the loading dock to get your big items like TVs. 0 knoppers
then buy something that was just marked up, and you saved nothing.
0 Scott K
I tried saving this morning, left at 4 am, got back at 730. I didn't buy one thing that I wanted to buy. Everything that was marked down that I wanted, was already gone. It was a terrible waist of my time, I could have stayed in bed.I will never do that again. I went to BB, that was the largest un-organized mass of confusion I have ever experienced!
0 deadeye
Ya, I hear ya. I gave up after having a old lady swear at me last year in FF. She literally snatched what I was looking at and took off. I was standing there dumbfounded. That stuff brings out the worst in people. I would consider doing the online deals since you dont have to deal with real live vultures. But that would have required me getting up early. 0 Scott K
I ended up finding exactly what I was looking for this morning, online about an hour ago, for the same door busting price that BB had advertised. I should have just looked there in the first place!

0 deadeye
I did take advanage of the sale this evening. FF had the quickfish 3 for 134.99 so i went in and got a bunch of money back since i paid 189 last week. . one step closer to having a new ice 45. it was really quiet in there at 7pm, i suppose the doorbuster people were all home trying to ice down the plastic money to stop the melting.
