Was that really a Twins game last night? Not very many 3-1 wins this season. Odorizzi starting tonight.

Another good effort from the starter & a couple different relievers cleaned up. Garver & Schoop with a couple HR's & 6 of 8 RBI's

Pineda suspended 60 games for PEDS. That sucks! He was really improving as the season progressed...I guess we know why  Going to miss him in the playoffs.

I couldn't believe it. That is a big blow to their chances in the playoffs and I believe it could affect them even making the playoffs.

Not to mention injuries really starting to pile up. Really puts a damper on things after such a fun year so far.

 

This team has exceeded my expectations and I’m content with them not winning anything in the playoffs if they even get there now.

I hope the window for success is just opening. Lots of to team friendly contracts and hopefully some good off season moves and they can keep improving after this season ends.

They need to to tighten up D and offense .We do not need the home runs all the time. Everyone is so excited about home runs but those teams have not won the WS in the past. Plus the Yankees are going to pass us by the end of the season for that record also.

Classic Minnesota sports.  Always finding a way to disappoint us.  I'm referring to Pineda getting suspended. We finally have something going good and this happens.  It always seems that pitching is the problem with this team.  All I can say is good luck now.

That's because the best teams all have excellent starters 1-3 & those are the only ones starting once the playoffs start. Those pitchers don't typically give up many homers. I got to believe that just winning 1 game this weekend seriously hurt the Tribes chances of winning the division. They aren't even in the playoffs yet, trailing TB & Oakland by 1 1/2  in the WC race as of today

I don't think there is any tightening up of the D to be done. It is what it is and has been all season. 

 

So you want to go back to Gardenhire era small ball? How do you tighten up one of the most prolific offenses in baseball?

 

offense won't be the problem down the stretch or in the playoffs, the problem will be pitching.

We have the most errors since the All star break in MLB. D was better and pitching was better. Yes there is ways to play better D. Better pitching will not happen most likely

Are they going to have enough to finish the regular season as champs?  With one more series against Cleveland I think its going to be close.

Going to need the starters to step it up. I don’t feel good about things and this division is far from decided. Rosario really needs to snap out of his slump and get it going again.

 

I also didn’t like Rocco’s decision to leave Garver on the bench as the potential tying run for the at bat in the 8th. Not sure what he was saving him for? Especially when you have the chance in that spot and don’t know if you will get one in the 9th.

Other guys need to step it up, we're hurting a bit.

It's been an entertaining season, let's hope it continues.

I didn't like that either but then again why wasn't he in the game to begin with. With 20 games or so to go and all the injuries going on hes probably our best and most consistent bat right now and he cant play two games in a row? He should play every game the rest of the way. After 140ish games this year he only has like 280 at bats. Think they showed last night 1 homer per 9.33 at bats. That's like a whole at bat better than Mike Trout and that's saying something.

By the way, I ditched Sling TV and went with Hulu Live. So I'm back in the spectator game, and I now also have ESPN and the Big Ten network. Now the Gophs can disappoint me all year.

There were a couple tough plays in the field behind Perez during their big inning last night that weren't made that easily could've turned that game around. The last couple starts have been pretty good actually IMO but since we started playing these teams with better records & starting pitching the bats have went a little quiet. They need to get those guys setting out healthy & more than 1 or 2 bats knocking the ball around. Even Cruz has been struggling since he came back . I'm starting to like what we've got in the bullpen now.

Not much of a game last night as Gibson didn't have it. They got 7 runs in the 5th & 6th to pull away. A couple more bats starting to warm up though then another 1 injured. On to Cleveland & I'd love to see them win game 1.

Glad they came back and won. Would have been less exciting becoming the first team in MLB history to have 5 players hit 30+ homeruns in a losing effort.
