Master Toasting Bread

Full product name is Masters, English Muffin Toasting Bread. 

 

A couple weeks ago I was shopping at Wally World and found the 6' wide shelf bare.  Went to Sam's and found only 4 loaves on a portable shelf. 

 

Anyone have insight to this or know where I can get this bread since it is the best bread for toast with dipping (or scrambled) eggs, french toast, and grilled cheese sam-it-ches? 

 

Online, Wally says it is a discontinued product - bummer.

I see it all the time at Cub. They had a big sale on it Sunday night - maybe they were trying to get rid of it.

I did a search ans it seems a shortage happens once in a while. That search came from 2013 and it was the same problem. Hope it just a temporary thing because it makes such great toast.

Never heard of the stuff.  English Muffin....Toasting Bread?  I was wondering if you really made French toast with round English muffins?

It is on the shelves in both Zup's and Northland stores up here in Ely.

Check at your local bakery, a lot of bakeries make English muffin bread. Probably even better.

We found some at HyVee.  I have not been to Wally World lately to see what they have.  Since the kids have moved out, we are right sizing our food supply and demand.  The toasting bread is now frozen, since we go through a loaf every two-weeks or so.  We just take out a slice or two out of the freezer as needed.

I learned a trick that works well for bread not drying out when in the freezer. this gal bakes bread, buns you name it like no tomorrow. she said if your putting bread in the freezer, wrap the bread inside the plastic bag with paper towels. I was skeptical at first, but it really works!!!

And Hardees is on the list, same as Taco Bell.
