Wife just told me.Sad stuff. He made alot of people laugh.Mind blowing news.

As far as his roles in movies go, the one that really sticks out is Popeye.I can watch that a hundred more times. He was unique among the rest of the comics. He will be very missed.

It is confusing on how somebody that was so well liked and had such a successful career ends his life suffering from depression. RIP Robin, you will be missed.

It is really hard when the people that help us get through life end this way? frown

A funny story when I met him in the mid-90's. I was living in Breckenridge CO, sipping a few cocktails after a day of skiing with a few friends at a bar called "Downstairs at Eric's". We were sitting at the bar and he sat right next to us. My friend asked the bartender for a napkin and a pen to get his autograph, when she slid it over to him he promptly blew his nose in the napkin and said "Thank you"... After a odd silence he cracked up laughing and continued to have drinks with us for the next hour or so.

Depression/Manic Depression is no joke...

Add in addiction and it can be a life long game of chicken. Does the OD get you, or the shadow that follows you all the time? It's a constant attempt to keep from getting hit by one of those big trucks barreling down the road at you.

Sounds like it was the demon's this time.... Very sad frown

Rest in peace

Back when I was suffering from very very bad chronic migraines I went through a battle with depression and I will tel you it SUCKS! Once you get down that far its hard to get back up with out people around you to help you and good doctors. Luckily for me once I got my head aches under control the depression slowly left and Im doing great. No meds etc.

RIP Robin Williams I will miss your energy and humor very much. Very Very sad to hear!

Kind of interesting how every once in a while we lose someone who whether we actually knew them or had ever even met them for that matter creates such a widespread sadness to such a large group of human beings. Sure we lose relatives and loved ones and people close to us who may have played a role in a lot of peoples lives but every once in a while there is someone who affects the masses. For me personally i think of the impact losing Dale Earnhart made and still makes today to so many people. This week with the passing of Robin Williams the world lost another great human being who will undoubtedly remain in peoples minds for generations....

Listened to the Jay Thomas show yesterday. The whole show was about Robin Williams. It certainly wasn't your traditional tribute, but very humorous nonetheless. Comics George Wallace and Bobby Slayton called in and told some funny stories about when they were all coming up together in the 70's. A lot of the stories Jay told about Williams behind the scenes lifestyle really paint a picture of the demons he must've been facing. Very sad situation.

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
