Concerned Yet?

Concerned...???? Why? Cause we're losing "meaningless" games. Who cares... The playoffs are an entirely different animal. Health is more important than home field "advantages". It's the playoffs, and to win you've gotta win on the road! What happened in 87 and 91 (winning all home field games) are oddities not the norm. Lets get everyone healthy and the Twins will be fine, but yes our pitching is going to have to be there or else it'll be a 3 and out AGAIN, even with our line-up and defense!

Yes, in 1987 the Twins clinched a playoff spot early and then didn't win another regular season game that season! (Look it up if you don't believe me!) Well we all know what happened that year!

The issue is these pitchers better wake up out of the hangover or we won't make it past the first round.

I think the Twins will do fine. The Royals, Blue Jays, and Tigers were always are "toughest" teams, even though all three aren't amazing. Once the Twins hit the playoffs, they should do better. Especially with their starters in the line-up. (knocks on wood).

I would have to say that the Yankees are a pretty tough team for the Twins also.

OK, I am officially concerned. At first I thought we were just playing with some indifference against Detroit and KC. There's gotta be a push in the clubhouse to start winning again to get momementum for play-offs. They sure didn't look it last night, on either offense or defense/pitching.

If they had been playing better we coulda had this AL best record thing all wrapped up. NY and TB are not very far ahead even given our complete collapse as of late.

Agreed. It's getting late in the season and they are running out of time to turn on.

It could happen but it does not look good.

Our pitching as of late stinks and our hitting has been suspect as of late also.

I will be cheering hard but I am very conncerned right along with gardy I believe.

I am as skeptical as they come, but I do feel the Twins have a chance. I know the Rays or Yankees are going to be very tough series where we will be the underdog, but anything can happen in baseball and we gave ourselves a shot by making the playoffs.

The Twins had me worried in 87 and they managed to pull it off so lets hope they get a fire under there rear end and pull this off.

Love the fact that the Yankees have to play a double header today. That has to mess with there rotation for the playoffs a little bit. Lets just hope that both games go into extra innings and they lose both of them.

Today wa a great comeback. What concerns me is, Mauer is 0 for 4 today and 1 for 10 in this series. Valencia was 0-3 today and Kubel had 1 hit I believe. We cannot depend on Cassila to win the games for us very often at all.

Well, the regular season is now done. The Yanks will be tough be beat but if we play our best, we do have a small chance.
