MUSKY18
Well first loss of the season, but I think that it was a "good" loss if you can say that. They played well and got some bad breaks. Held the offense of the Steelers in check pretty good. VERY bad call by the ref that took away the Rice touchdown, and that changed the complexion of the entire game......... Swimbait2009
Chester Taylor is gonna lose some sleep tonight. Keep your eye on the ball buddy. We lost to a very good team, but we were never out of the game. That's what our team is all about right now. We are going to be in EVERY game! Tough call to negate the TD to Rice, and lots of mistakes with the penalties. On to Green Bay!
Dock Boy
Biggest play of the game wasn't even a play. It was the tripping call that took our touchdown away. Horrible call. Not making excuses, but playing with a 17-13 point lead is alot different than coming from behind. Rediculaus call. Here we come Packers. Bandit
They won every category but the score. They are for real.
AWH
A surprising outcome only because the defense played well enough to win and it was the offensive mistakes that cost us the game. After last week and no Winfield this week, not many people would have predicted that.Aaron
solbes
I was pretty impressed with our play today. Really quality 2nd half from the whole team. It stinks we lost, but if we can play with that kind of heart for most of the remaining games we're set. Rice was exceptional today. Favre, Harvin, 2nd Half A.P., O line all played pretty well. I do agree that the refs seemed to be bankrolled by the Steelers today. What in the world was that Delay of Game call against our D?
Jim Uran
Solbes, I wish I knew what determines how they call that delay of game stuff on the D..Otherwise your post summed it up really well.
james_walleye
I thought it was a pretty solid game in the domain of the defending champs. I would have liked to have seen how it would have played out with the vikings leading 17-13.
jeffreyd
I think the game overall was one of the best i have seen recently. one thing i noticed was on the interception, farve had a chance to get the runner however he nose dived right as the guy was going by him. not sure if he was afraid the 340lb lineman that was knocking folks down with him would level him or not. I hated to see them loose, they have become one of my favorite teams. Next week will be better.

RumRiverRat
Pat Williams and Kevin Williams have disappeared. There was no pass rush today.Horrible Play Calling by Chilly. He called another draw play on 3rd and long, I believe it was 3rd and 15.The Vikes have a lot to improve on. PC's
yea we tried on run on 3rd and 18, and 3rd and 15. we drop about 10 easy catches a game. we trade touchdowns for field goals, we cant stop the pass at all. we should be getting several picks but again we drop the ball. We neal on the ball while trailing at half when we coulda got a quick field goal. I mean honestly the vikes should be 4-3 this season at best. Id say we could never contend with the saints, giants, pats, broncos, colts, dallas, steelers, arizona, eagles,
BlueLundFishrman
Jeffrey, I notice that on the play too. He effort on the fumble was less than I've seen him put forth on some of plays where his guys catch the ball this year. You don't think the wear and tear of the season is getting to him already do you guys?
Dark Cloud
Rumor has it this pict was taken about an hour ago somewhere in Minnesota.... It was an entertaining game reguardless of who won or who you wanted to win... The purple team will be fine this seasonas long as Farve can stay on the field... JBMasterAngler
I'm not dissapointed in the vikes at all. The refs definitely didn't do us any favors. The only thing I didn't agree with was kicking a field goal on 4th and goal on the 1 yard line. Sure they stuffed us 3 plays in a role, but when your down 6 and on the road you gotta go for it. If the FG would've tied it or taken the lead, then it's ok, but in that situation they should've went for it.

harvey lee
I agree we should have went for it but Chili will only once in a blue moon.Take away all the dropped passes and the penalties and the Vikes may have won even with the terrible call by the refs.Pittsburgh didn't even have to exploit our weak secondary much. With Winfield out for 6 weeks, Zigy best go and get a few new corners.
FISHINGURU
good game....we could of easily won it...TIME TO CRUSH THE PACK

DTro
The only thing the Vikes should be bummed out about are some of the boneheaded penalties. Other than that, they played a solid games. It's too bad that one bad call turns into a 14pt swing.I don't care what anyone says. Without a doubt, the official blew it on that one and the Steelers should consider themselves lucky to come out with a win.
Driftless
vikes lack mental toughness.going to be a good regular season and one and done in the play offs. Favre will retire for the 50th time and it will begin all over again.
Big Dave2
How come when the vikes get lucky, everyone says they should have lost the game, and when the opposing team gets lucky the vikes STILL should have lost the game? This is a good team. No one wins them all, just ask the Patriots.
Big Dave2
vikes lack mental toughness. What does that mean and how do you come to that conclusion?
traveler
"Losing easy games with stupid stuff." What? Pittsburg, at home, is an "easy" game? On what planet? They played a good game. Couple bad calls, couple drops was the difference. It was a good loss, if there is such a thing. The pack will go down:)
Driftless
if packers oline play a little better than the last time.the packers have a chance.will be 21-20Can't say who will be 20 or 21.Favre lacks mental toughness. Saw that through his years with packers. He gets rattled and tries to force stuff in. The team has taken on his mentality. Also your coach is too passive with no killer instinct
