rundrave
last nights clutch hitting as it was a tie game, compare Crede's at bast in the 9th to Cuddy's at bat in the 9th?Crede = tripleCuddy = first pitch foul out pop up (with creded on 3rd) terrible at bat
Gary Crichton
Lets see what was the final score again Oh ya, I remember. That is why they play with NINE players I believe, so if one should fail another can pick him up. That sounds about right don't you agree. It is a TEAM game. zamboni
Whine and complain all you want, he hit a cycle earlier this season and that is saying something in MLB. Im opinion, when he is hurt, he is hurt. He doesn't get "backaches" he gets broken fingers, and an ankle- and what are the odds of getting hit in the foot by a line drive breaking your foot? There are more than one on our roster that seem to miss alot of time with minor injuries
fishin58
So when GOGO hit for the Cycle in this same "MLB", you blow that off and still say ship him to the minors. So while Cruddy goes on the skid again, he gets bailed out by a hurt finger?? Come on now, he is about as streaky as Jacque Jones. Without the Defense.Meanwhile Delmon buries his mother and goes into a slump and you expect him to not miss a beat.??? Come on now, he is about as streaky as Jacque Jones. Without the Defense. Jacque Jones needed two throws to Cuddie's one. Jones never did have an arm. He could hardly make it to 2nd base with his throws, let alone home or third from right field. Teams would run on Jones arm all the time. fishin58
You have to catch or get to the ball first to throw it. Cruddy a paltry 6 for 34 the lat 10 games for a whopping .176 average.
zamboni
They replayed GoGos cycle game from last season just the other night on Twins Classics on FS Twins, I think his HR finally sunk in in the 8th or so inning, and he hit it in the first. He looked absolutely amazed when he was running the bases it went out. BTW, if you are truly trying to tell me you think Delmons a better all around player than Cuddyer, I have some land to sell ya
SledNeck
Looks like Cuddys hot streak was a fluke. What is so great about the cycle????Would you rather have a guy hit for the cycle or have a guy hit 2 HRs and 2 doubles?3 Hrs and a triple?2 hrs and 2 triples?1 HR and 3 triples4 triples? fishin58
I like most of the sports people in Minnesota, I am just not a band wagoner. I will be with the Purple, the Blue and oh yes the T-pups through the ups and downs. The same goes with players, you guys give up on a fresh face that struggles once in a while. Meanwhile you will take on garbage from other teams, like it is the Holy Grail and what has that done for us? Any Qb in the last 20 years washed up Qb's from other teams, Rondell White, Shannon Stewart, Everitt, .........I just want to see young guys WITH talent given a fair shake. Not just the golden boy of Gardys.

fishin58
Like I said, GET to the ball! Hits: 3 Errors: 0 - Athletics eighth. - C.Gomez in as center fielder. - Cuddyer in as right fielder. - R.Davis grounded out to first baseman Buscher unassisted. - Hannahan tripled to right. - O.Cabrera singled to center, Hannahan scored. - A.Kennedy homered to right on a 2-0 count, O.Cabrera scored. - Cust grounded out, first baseman Buscher to pitcher Blackburn. - Holliday popped out to third baseman Crede. Mudcutter
Crede is a patch. He also doesn't make near 8mil. Cudy is supposed to be a major Cog. Cuddy also struggles in the clutch. Not that Crede is much better, but he does have a walk off GS about a month ago. Not to bad for a patch.Crede plays 3b,,, much more important than right field and is gold glove. Both get hurt. Do the math with Cuddy making near 8 million. Our outfield sucks. zamboni
cuddy injured AGAIN Getting his finger drained. Sounds made up to me. I said it before on here, when he gets hurt, he is hurt. He doesn't get "bad backs" or "bad wrists" 3-4 days a week.
wahoohendoo
gardy said yesterday he is probably heading for the 15 day dl. go figure. what a panzy. he must hang around gaborik too much.
greebs
he's back in the lineup tonight. good to see he only missed a few games. going on the dl would not be good for him because he seems to be a slow starter and and coming back from that much time off might be a struggle. he is going to have to pick it up here soon though or somebody on this site that predicted him to be in the all star game is going to have to eat some crow. soldoncass
Good to see Cuddy back in there. Took a cortisone shot in the index finger. He absolutely HAMMERED the ball in his first at bat....whose idea was it to put that tall baggy in right anyway? ....and Kubel, ran out of gas 1/2 way home. Cuddy should have had an rbi for sure. With all the injuries nice to have him to fill in other positions, like 1b and center at times. The Twins WON'T have any outfielders in the all-star game....too many big name guys out there to have a chance. Young has improved this year...takes 1-2 pitches a game and has made a few decent catches, he MAY develop yet. Gomez...............has regressed big time this year...........ton's of talent, but seems to be a head-case. Kubel will never be a regular, his knee injury eliminated that, but a great DH against righties. Our supposed strength of 4 great OF'ers has turned into 2 above average(Cuddy, Span), 1 average (Young), and 1 defensive specialist head-case(Gomez). Much less than expectations early. Born2Fish
And now Span is on the 15 day DL. They are bringing up Jason Pridie. In 60 games with the Red Wings this season, Pridie batted .255 (68-for-267) with 11 doubles, two triples, two home runs and 19 RBIs.
SledNeck
werent we supposed to have too many outfielders this year? lol
Gary Crichton
I am so glad that Sledneck favorite player is back in the lineup. Hopefully the shot will take care of the problem and he is back in the lineup on a steady basis. He has to cover for the youngsters who are having issues staying healthy or consistant, but that is what veterans are supposed to do. 1st game back and 2 hits and crushed the ball as said b-4. HMMMMM.
