mainbutter
Fishing and other outdoor licenses are cheap for the amount of use people get out of them, compared to other forms of entertainment.$100 for some nice long weekends, even at a conservative estimate of half a year for outdoor sporting? It's way easy to get down below $1 an hour.I don't know any other activities that I enjoy as much as fishing that cost less than $1 an hour (open for innuendo)

PierBridge
whats the walleye validation pictoria? New for this year you can buy a $5 Walleye stamp. The money, supposedly will go directly to Walleye stocking and other walleye-improvement activities. For $2 more $7 total you can get a pictorial stamp. Walleye Pictorial Stamps. muskielaw
Now just multiply that total by 10 and that should get you half way through the season. Good to see you will be stimulating the economy.
harvey lee
I would guess with fishing 6 states this past year and hunting in 3 others, I spent more than I would really care to know.. The deer alone was $600.00It really does add up fast.
UdeLakeTom
And even if he doesn't use all of them, the dollars are well spent....a couple of times, I've done the trout stamp and never made it out trouting....no problem with that.
17FishMan
First I would like to say that I to believe that the licesne fees are a good way to spend our "liesure dollars" if you will, But I sorry, we should not have to fork over $100.00 to the "State" so that we can go hunting and fishing. I mean were does it end, Deer Tags, lottery money, the new Sales tax.... It is un-ending. And the DNR still says that it is short of cash.Prior to license fees being deposited into the states general fund, the DNR had all the money they needed to maintain their annual budget. But a bunch of greedy politicions saw a big chunck of change there and so now our sportsman's dollars go to fund everything under sun. Light Rail, social programs, enthanol sudsudies.... Anything that falls under the states budgeting process. License fees should stay inside the DNR. Why should we have to help support all these other political progams. Sandmannd
Because, that's just how MN does things. I don't have a problem with those fees, it's cheap for a whole year of entertainment for me. I do hope the walleye stamp money stays with the DNR better than other programs we have see. I have little faith in the systems.
