knoppers
had 4 pelicans fly over today. something new to me, during Thursdays blizzard, there was a loon singing on my pond that opened up earlier this week.
JBMasterAngler
I saw countless dozens of pelicans while driving along the st. croix today. Also saw a blue heron.
knoppers
seen a few herons also, I did have a white egret on my pond today, first time I have seen one on this lake ( pond ) in 27 years I have been here. and one strange vulture, it was flying low over the water like a eagle would do. BIGFISH.JZ
My lake is still froze up tight, but there has been a pair of geese sitting on the ice for over 2 weeks. They sit in the same spot everyday, occasionally flying a few laps around the lake. Is this behavior common? I don't recall seeing these "squatters" before.
