Packers vs Vikings predictions

snoozebutton

The Packers have big problems on the offensive line which could be a problem when they face the Vikes front 7 but after a humiliating loss against the Giants, they'll come out to play Sunday.

They could get Mathews and Jennings back this week. Two of there biggest play makers on each side of the ball but even without either one I say...

Packers 31

Vikings 27

As much as I would love to argue with you over the final outcome, I cant. I believe your prediction of the Packers winning will happen. The score part of it, I have to question though. I can see the Packers scoring 31, or more points, but in order for the Vikings to score 27 points, someone will need to gain some yards on offense other then Peterson, so unless the Vikes can score a couple defensive touchdowns, or Harvin comes back and has a huge game, I see the score more like 42-17 Packers.

My prediction is Packers 34- Vikes 17.

Also, I will be there head to toe in purple and i predict I get called a loser, A-hole, or some other name 244 times and get 7 beers spilled on me.

I will be there also. I promise not to call you names or spill any beer on you. smile

I'm pretty sure you won't get any beer spilled on you. Packer fans have never been known to waste a single drop of beer.

I also don't see the vikings winning but I'm going to say its a little closer just because i have my purple goggles on today. I'm going with 28-17 in favor of the pack.

Whatever the line is, bet everything you have on the Packers to cover. They will be STEAMING after getting undressed by the Giants (which worked great for my fantasy team grin). Meanwhile, the Vikes are staggering, have a feckless QB and no downfield threats, and possibly lost two key players to concussions.

GB 45 MN 17. And that's being optimistic towards MN, I think.

That sounds about right to me. This one will not be close. The Packers are not very good but the Vikings are worse. If Percy plays it will obviously make things a little more interesting but the biggest difference in this game will be the quarterback position. These two qb's are light years apart and that will be more than apparent.

Speaking of Harvin are the brilliant minds that run this team working on a new deal for this guy? Even if they are something tells me there is no way he will sign a new contract here. If you think we are thin at the reciever position now..........

Will AP ride the bus with the team ? Greg Jennings is back for Sunday correct ? Who thinks our D-line is so good, Rodgers will exhaust them early and often ? I'd take Rodgers for AP any day any time any year, you must throw to be anybody, of course we have the #1 back likely in the era where passing rules. Pack in a blowout, unless, I repeat unless Percy can take the opening kickoff back.

Ya, we all saw last week how the vikes front 7 just absolutely destroyed the bears offensive line that was having problems and injuries.....the vikings defense forwhatever reason is a completely differnt unit at home versus on the road. home game they harrass rodgers a bit but on the road they won't cause him too much concern.

If you do get beer spilled on you, be prepared to get licked to death by a big fat sweaty beer swilling hog! And YES I am talking about the packers cheerleader!

Injury report

Quote:
Percy Harvin will test out his sprained ankle during Wednesday's practice.

Harvin was able to get a little work in on his own Tuesday. He'll start off Wednesday with individual drills, run some routes and see how he feels. The Vikings will continue to exercise caution with their invaluable all-purpose wideout. For now, we can only consider Harvin questionable for Sunday's game in Green Bay.

Quote:
Although he's been cleared of his concussion, Kyle Rudolph is also dealing with a strained shoulder.

It's uncertain if he'll practice on Wednesday, but we'll know within the next hour or two. Averaging six catches for 59.5 yards over his past two starts, Rudolph will be worth low-end TE1 consideration if he suits up against the Packers.

Quote:
Clay Matthews (hamstring) remained absent from Packers practice Wednesday.

Matthews was able to get in some side work, but he's still on track to miss his third straight game. Considering his history of hamstring issues, the Packers are unlikely to rush him back before he's 100 percent. His status will be updated Friday or Saturday.

Quote:
Greg Jennings (groin) "looked full go" in Wednesday's practice.

We should get official word shortly, but this was expected after Jennings got in three limited practices last week. Out since Week 4, Jennings will almost certainly be on a snap count against the Vikings, but with James Jones falling off the radar of late, it shouldn't take him long to make his presence felt. Although Jennings could be in for 1-2 slow weeks from a fantasy perspective, he needs to be 100 percent owned with the playoffs nearly upon us.
