Juan Grande
Where is everyone going this weekend? I'll be in Zimmerman area, but am thinking about making a run up to Mille Lacs on Sunday or Monday for some smallies. Will they be on beds? Nick Kuhn
It appears I'm not the only one with friends who like to ruin a perfectly good holiday weekend with a wedding. That was a couple year ago though, so this weekend I'll find myself once again over the border, fishing for the longer and skinnier brown variety of fish on their opener. Craigums
I might take out my dinky aluminum on mille lacs if its not windy, whats the best way to target smallies this time of year? Are they going to be near isolated rock piles?
TonkaBass
I think I am gonna do some lake hoping this year. Annandale area and west... Should be fun though.
Juan Grande
I'm no expert Craigums but I'm guessing people will say shallow areas with a sand/boulder mix for smallies this weekend.I might have an open seat if you want to join me. Not sure which day yet, probably the one with least forecasted wind.

BigGrassBass
Waconia for me. Unless its windy or there is lots of boat traffic. Then I'll just hit one of the smaller lakes in the area.
JBMasterAngler
Snake river. No better way to stay cool on a hot day than to throw on the flip flops and wade for smallies
