JigginGopher
You are killing me with those pics Southwick! I would kill to make it back to the SR! I work for a hockey team now so its extremely tough to make it back for the winter steelhead season. I will no doubt make it back sometime in the next few years though. Now that i've experienced it I have to make it back every few years. Too great to pass up. If anybody one this forum fishes the spring steelhead run near duluth, mn, I would love to piggyback a trip and begin to learn the rivers up near there. There is nothing like hooking up with a beautiful Great Lake run trout!

Southwick
A few more NY Salmon River shots, 1st one is a Mud Shark King Salmon that I landed on a early Dec steelhead trip. Hook-up was late in the day and the battle lasted into the dark a good 45 minute fight on 4lb test leader. Thought I had a giant Steelhead and was very disappointed to see it was a King. Here’s a old picture of a 19lb4oz big male Steelhead I caught back in the 90s along with a nice fresh silver rocket hen. Added a few lake effect river snow pictures, days like that I snow shoe in and have entire runs all to myself. I live for days like that on the river + enjoy them the most. TheHawgTrough
check out this tiger trout from out west... What's the story on this fish? This has to be a borderline world record for a tiger trout.
BTL
Not a lot of bruiser trout down my way. We get some pretty little natives up in the mountains though.

Dark Cloud
Last thursday I got into a pile of steelhead with two of my buddies! Im the morning I was getting them on the centerpin, fishing a float and beads(alaska style). Then the fish really switched onto stoneflies mid-morning. I have fished alot of steelhead but have never seen anything like it. We lost track of doubles and had a tripple hook-up!
