This is something I have posted in my wheel-house some apply to kids all apply to the adults.... any other ideas?

15 Rules of the Fish House

1. You bait your own hook (accept my wife she is obsolete from all rules because she can be - I am sure you understand).

2. You bring your own booze… any left over becomes property of the house and stays with the house (food as well)

3. If you fall in a hole sit by the heater and dry out, we are not going in because of it and no crying about it.

4. No pictures can be taken after 9:00 pm accept of fish.

5. Nothing goes down the holes accept lures and bait, use the great outdoors as your toilet.

6. Owner of the house automatically gets the bottom bunk or the cot depending on number of people staying.

7. Owner picks the radio station – my radio doesn’t get country or western music.

8. For Risk of electrical shock relieve yourself on the side of the house opposite the generator.

9. If you catch fish they go with you. (I can be bribed to take them)

10. No talking about work (anything else is fair game)

11. No call girls during power hour. (generally between 3 and 7 pm) Depending on species being trageted.

12. For every fish caught all anglers in the house must swig from the house schnapps bottle no eceptions unless you have a cold or herpes. (not applicable to the underage but all adults must if underager catches a fish)

13. Newbie’s must bring a peppermint schnapps bottle as an offering to the house and fish gods to pass after a catch.

14. No farting - save it for outside it’s too confined.

15. Fish house owner has final say in all disputes, appeals can be heard next day if proper forms are filled out and filed in triplicate. Sorry we are all out of Forms.

You must have a special group of friends or family if you really can lay that law down. I'd have to fish alone, and I know I wouldn't be able to fish with you. lol.

Rule 14? Part of the fun of drinking beer is torturing your friends with beer farts.

One time my Dad let a particularily bad one, I asked if he farted.

His response? Of coarse! You don't think I smell like this all the time do you? grin

Thats pretty good!!!! I would change the one about the cell phone to none allowed in house period, since that is what ice fishing is about right?

If you need to use it go outside or just leave it in the truck IMO Only can be used when you catch a big one and then you are limited to 10min, some would prolly have withdrawls if this was the case.

I have one to add, if you are going out to grab a beer, then ask the rest too...

Definately add the 'No Cell Phones' rule!! Fishing is about relaxing and getting away from the ratrace.

As far as #14 goes, when I go up to Red with my brother, I usually eat eggs AND Chile the night before, just so I can defend myself from his onslaught!!

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
