colonel42
I'm right there with you on that one. I will be a Viking fan until I die. Or until my tattoo fades away. Just kidding. Been there for them since the early 70's and will always be there through thick and thin. The Vikes did have a lot of good things happen this year. Their defense is no longer last in the league. The offence set a record for most yardage by a running back. One thing I think they need to do is get someone that can call the plays for the offense. It is pretty sad when the commentators can tell you week to week what they are doing wrong and the coaches just ignor them. I heard two ex QB talk about eight men in the box and how they would come out of retirement to have that to throw against. Jackson will be a desent QB they just need him to use his abilities. He is a running QB not a three step drop. He needs more time and I think he will be OK. Williamson your out of here. How you turned pro is beyond my knowledge. Hope you did well in college because you will need it. Moss way to go!!!! You are number one in my book. By the way someone mad a comment on Moss being no good in MN. I beg to differ but the year they scored all them points to hold the record for most points in a season Moss was there and had just a few of them. Hats off to you Randy. I know I sure miss you as well as many Viking fans do. There was some trouble but hey I was a young punk once too.

bucketmouth64
TW signed a 7 year $30 million(?) contract according to the papers. Vikes are on the hook for a portion of it because of guaranteed monies. Salary is under a million for next season. I say buy him out and good riddance. I think he knows his days are numbered. bgreen82
the worst thing that ever happened to williamson was that he was drafted 7th overall. and on top of that it was the draft pick we got from trading away moss. there was no way he should have been drafted at that spot. expectations were too high for a guy that just wasnt that great of a receiver. zepman
I felt bad for him also, as some of the previous posts have mentioned. He seems like he's a good kid who's worked hard at getting better but for whatever the reason just couldn't get it done when it counted. Vikes need to release him and get on with it. He will "catch" on with another team and maybe the expectations won't be as great and he can perform good enough to stay in the league a few more years. Farley
Worst reciever in the NFL.
Bobby Bass
"expectations were too high " I expect a Pop Warner receiver to touch the ball from time to time. I expect a High school player to catch more then he drops, I expect a college player to catch everything that hits him and a few that he should have no chance at all to catch. I expect a Pro football player to catch everything that comes close to him with a player hanging on to him, I expect a pro player to lay out out for the ball I expect a pro player to catch a ball with no one on him, no I demand it. Not my job as a fan to make excuses for someone who can not play at the pro level. I can pay someone from down the street to drop the ball for millions less and be just as surprised when he does catch a ball. Vikes have a lot of glaring holes to fill, this one should be a no brainer. To bad stickum was outlawed, only thing that would have saved this kids career. Hammer Handle
Moss if gone, get over it.His head was too big for us. I am glad he is gone. And, what did he do in Oakland? Not much, for they lacked a QB. What would he do in MN? Nothing, for we lack a QB.Now he has a great QB. They make each other look great.Yes, he has a lot of talent. Would I want him or the loser WR in Dallas on my team? No.
B420
Who was the bigger first round bust, Williamson or DeMetrius Underwood??
james_walleye
Yeah, i mean why would anyone want the biggest weapon who has ever put a football jersey in purple? I can't see how he would have made this team any better. Not!

fishinphilth
Williamson by far. At least Demetrius can hold on to something even though it was a knife.
Hammer Handle
Would Moss make our team better? Yes.Would he have the same impact here as he does in NE? No, not even close. He would look like he did in Oakland, slightly above average. With that, would I want him on the Vikings with his attitude? No.
edgeucator
yet again we got jipped on the draft apart from "all day" and greenway it seems that all our draft have fell through. if we can get two good recievers, and if rice can keep getting better i dont know that there will be a much better team next year hopefully tj can keep getting better, hopefully they keep there eyes peeled for another GOOD qb
IFallsRon
Minnesota Vikings receiver Troy Williamson soon could be on the move. Williamson's agent, David Canter, has been granted permission by the Vikings to shop Williamson in Indianapolis at the NFL Combine. According to Canter, more than eight teams have contacted him about acquiring his client. "It's what we wanted. It's a very positive situation," Canter said. "They're (Vikings) letting us put together the trade. There's already been some offers and preliminary discussions. Troy is really excited and he's just anxious to see where he ends up." Have they seen him play?

mnwild
its gonna be a 6th round pick, Jags would be stupid to give the Queens a 6th overall pick they should have a middle 1st rd pick with how they played last year. Personally I dont think I would even give up a 6th rd pick for stone hands.
