hookncook
took a buddy of mine out for a little pre father's day fishing.. Pike are finally hitting surface lures- frogs and turtles, and jointed rapalas were the lures of choice that day.

20lbSloughShark
It looks like it got ran over by a boat, guessing from the slash in the tail and back. Nice catch
Nick Kuhn
It looks like it got ran over by a boat, guessing from the slash in the tail and back. Nice catch It's from a disease. 20lbSloughShark
I was not there, and have never seen anything that bad, but those look more like slashes than tumors to me.

esoxrocks01
This beautiful 33 1/2 water wolf was caught down at the 'pits. It made my new reel sing like Sarah Brightman, and I'm willing to bet it had to have been 12 pounds at least (I didn't want to keep him out of water for long). Caught on a spinnerbait for the first time, considering I've never caught anything on a spinnerbait before (without a steel leader as well). It gave my 10 pound line, medium rod, and shimano sienna reel a thorough test. He was released perfectly, and even now, I'm still in shock that I managed to catch a true metro giant. Good ol' Gravel Pit George.

MattL
I'm not a pike fisherman, but tend to tangle with a few while fishing walleyes. Here is my new PB caught yesterday, just shy of 40" on walleye gear with 8 lb line.

dan z
So fishing was dismall today until my buddy said big mark as he said it I seen it and as he looked overy rod is loaded up and the drag is screaming a few seconds later. This line burner was at the hole 3 times and went on many power runs in between the I see you times. It is the biggest northern I have encountered and I'm getting a replica mount to remember the experience. Yes I did bring it home and I'm going to enjoy every inch of it. It measures 37x16.
