WalleyeStriker
I do have a couple of favorites ranging from G.Loomis to Ugly Stick! I dont know about you guys, but for my all around favorite rod I would have to go with my Fenwick HMX 6' ML. What are you guys favorite rods?! Fathead
I have been using Loomis IMX and St. Croix Avids for the past 5 years. These rods have been great! My rigging IMX rod, coupled with 8# PowerPro has tremendous sensitivity. However, just last week at Cabelas, I started looking at the different rods available on the market. The rod that really impressed me is the (like mentioned before) the Fenwick HMX series. Wow, is this a nice rod for the money! I like its feel better than the Avid and it seems an even comparison to the IMX. I even like it better than Fenwicks top-of-the-line HMG series. This will be my next rod(s) I purchase ($70 to $80 range).
The_Duckslayer
Any fishing rod that I have in my hand when the water is close eonough to cast a line into. Not all that picky and certainly do not need to blow a big wad of money on one. Heck, last week I was out fishing off the bank with my ice fishing rod. Why? Because it was in the truck and I could. Have a good one././Jimbo
DEADhead
I like the St. Croix Avid Series. Whether ice fishing, fly fishing, or open water fishing, for the price of those rods and the quality of the graphite and taper, it is one of the best deals out there IMO. So I'd have to say my Avid rods would be my favorite.

But they would always break and they never work correctly. I dont care how much the rod is if it doesnt have a warranty i dont buy. Imagine breaking a 100.00 rod and having to buy another one!! that would suck. I broke 3 rods this sum and only had to pay 30.00 out of pocket to get a brand new rod. I did not say that I used cheap ones form KMart and Wal-Mart. I get most of them from Cabelas actually, I just don't go for the spendy ones. Have not broke one in a long time either and the last one that I did break was in the tailgate of the truck. Down Deep
G. Loomis is my pick. Excellent construction, durable and light weight so they are easy to hold onto all day. I've never had to use the warranty on any of the Loomis rods I own.

radke22
I have Loomis IMX's, Fenwick HMG's, St.Croix Legand Eliete's, and non of them compare to the rapalas signature series rods. If you can find them, get as many as possible. I worked at gander and we recieced a shipment, and I picked out 14 different rods for myself. Originally priced $100, on sale 39.99+ my discount, hey why not. In my book, Rapala anything has been better that expected.

walleyeking#8
I would have to say my favorite fishing rod is my Fenwick HMX 6'6" medium light. I have just purchased a new St Croix 7' med. light rod but have not had a chance to try it out yet. I also like my Berkley lightning rods that I have. Corey Bechtold
Whatever I can afford. I have used several different rods from different companies. I have found is that there is a niche for everyone. Which is why there are so many companies making so many different models in every possible length, action, weight, etc. Berkley, Fenwick and Abu Garcia/s are great and they have plenty of good rods for any budget. Shimano's are good too. St.Croix makes a good stick. G-Loomis makes a great rod but a bit overpriced IMO. Custom rods from Thorne Bros. would be a perfect choice for the person who knows exactly what they want. Good luck, Corey Bechtold
Northlander
Man I cant pick just one. I have a old St.Croix Legend series 6'6" light/fast that I jig with a lot when using smaller jigs in the 1/16th and 1/8th oz. range. My old trusty. ( sensimentle value as well)In recent years I have been lucky enough to be able to afford some higher end rods that I myself paid for. (The legend was a X-mas present from my wife before we married.)I have a 6'6" med/light/fast sensive rod from Midwest rod that Im really impressed with and my new fav. would have to be my 7'6" rigging/current jigging rod from Midwest. Med/light X-fast. Teamed it up with a new Okuma Diablo and its a awesome combo. For my trolling needs I found that the 8' Gander Mt. telescoping board rods work great for both my boarding and bouncing needs. A prime example of sometimes a cheaper rod is all thats needed. Heck they are in rod holders 60-70% of the time so sensitivity isnt crucial.I also have a older Fenwick HMX from before they were bought out that I really like as well. 6'6" med/fast. So many rod choices now. Its a fishermans paradise these days.

Slyster
I really do like my 6 various sizes ugly sticks.. even though they get a bad rap now and then. I do plan to upgrade.. but no more than 1 rod per year.. I don't make a lot of money!
