Impossible to say. I have seen pics of fish that looked like 10 lbs but were half that. And I have seen pics of 10 lb fish that looked 5 lbs.

Well, thats extreme, but its impossible to say from a pic.

Too many variables.

Nice fish. Hows that guess?

I'm in the same boat as everyone else here, I'd say 3-4 pounds. In the past, when I forgot the tape measure and caught a nice fish, I'd mark the length out on something. Like etch little marks somewhere on the boat or on a rod. I have also cut a piece of fishing line to the exact length of the fish then put the line in my pocket till I got home.

Looks to be about a 4 lber. Could go a half pound either way. Tough to tell without anything to measure it against. From the body shape, it looks like it has matured past the days of being a 3lber. When they hit twenty inches and 5 lbs, the head tends to be a more dominant feature on a bass. I didn't have a scale or tape for the bass in my avatar, I marked it on the canoe thwart and checked it when I got home.

I'd probably say over 4, but probably not by much. Stomach doesn't look to big. When it's hard to judge, I always look at the fingers. It shows more because it isn't affected by how clase the camera is.

An educated guess, knowing that the N.A.V.Y letters on the hat sit about 3" tall and that you have a good backdrop with the blue shirt making the fish look it's size or bigger.......4lbs or right around there.

NICE FISH!

where's the short fat guy? Looking at the 4 fingers of your right hand I would guess they span about 4 inches, maybe slightly less. Taking a rule your hand measured 1.5 centimeters = 4 in., on the picture. The fish measured 8.5 centimeters. 8.5/1.5= 5.666 X 4 in = 22.6 in fish. If the spread of your hand is only 3.5 in then your looking at a 19.8 in fish

I'd say it's at least a 20 in fish. Now we need someone with a table that compares the weight to the length of bass.

You've got a 4 lb fish for sure, maybe 5. Nice!

Looks like this is kinda fun tring to guess the weight/length of the fish... next time i will have to measure it before i post the pic and see who can guess closest. guess that gives me a good reason to go catch another one!

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
