Yer not getting a steak with those names for $40 are ya?  Never been there but I heard that was $200 dinner.

 

I’ve had too many overdone, poorly cut, tasteless and tough steaks at restaurants.  When I have gotten served steaks and the wait “person” asks if I’d like steak sauce, my reply is “I hope not”.

 

There’s been a few good ones but I really prefer grilling to my taste with a good cut of meat.

Go back up and read what I said. This whole discussion started about dad getting a $40 dallor steak "to grill" on fathers day, to match moms $40 bunch on mothers day brunch!   Dads grill their own steak was my point. You started blabbering about how great you are cooking them. Aren't we all!

It’s Father’s Day - make it your own.  I feel zero guilt about having a week of muskie fishing in Canada starting on Father’s Day weekend.  No grief for that is the best gift they could give me.

 

By the way, you do buy good steaks.  I still remember the black and bleu at The Ely Steak House.  Thanks again.
