did a rack of ribs yesterday and a couple burgers too!!!   Looks good smurf!  where is the final pic??

Grandsons had a state Lacross tournament.

Grandpa put a pork butt in the smoker for some pulled Sam's for after game dinner! 

The word was, "grandpa you nailed it you should sell this! All I needed!

We do it all the time with them. There's a batch of them in the brine as we speak.

 

This brine my brother concocted is out of this world good stuff

Do you smoke in the pans, not on racks? Like the Inuit people in Alaska?

Do they smoke well?  I mean just about anything does, but I figure they might end up more like jerky

They smoke superbly!! there second best smoked fish next to salmon. In my opinion anyway.

 

The trick is to not let them dry out, once you see the moisture on the fillet gone it's time to pull them. Or once they hit 150 degrees internal temp the come off.

the brine i use is pretty elaborate.....lotz of seasonings in it. its my brothers homemade concoction!!!!!!

I just did yesterday.  Had to change my password to meet the “new”requirements.

getting ready to go out of town on for a week so trying to hold off getting any new groceries and scrounge up any ideas with what I still have on hand.

 

A while back I saw this recipe: Hot dog burnt ends

 

I had everything on hand and gave it a shot. Kind of a poor mans burnt end but turned out pretty good considering what it was. I am sure you could tinker and experiment with this with different sauces and rubs,
