It is a new page, something the team needs to, kind of a start over for them, something to give the team some hope.

I think he will move the ball better, but I think he will also have the same turnover problems he has always had. I think they will pull off their first win of the season.

I'm not convinced its going to make much of a difference in the final outcome of the game but at least it will be something different to watch.

It will be a matter of what Cassel shows up. He's had some success in the past in New England and also one good year in KC but the rest of his years have been very Ponder-like.

If the O-line doesn't block better and if the defense can't stop teams late in the game it really won't matter who you put in at QB. Considering we couldn't stop Clevelands 3rd stringer I'm not real excited about our ability to stop Rothlisberger. The Steelers are bad this year but I think they are still a better team than the Vikings.

I dont think Cassel will do much either. But at least the team will get a look at what they have and realize they are in a world of hurt, no matter who they try and play.

Last night I googled message boards on Cassel.... HAAAA. He was not a popular feller in KC.

What a joke the management team is for the queens.....

I think he gives the Vikes a much better chance than Ponder would have. The Steelers are a very blitz heavy team and Ponder can never get the ball out quick enough. Hopefully Cassel will be able to do that, hit the reciever and move the ball. But then again, if the offensive line doesn't block better, it will be hard to get the ball out fast when he is on his back most of the game.

I think the biggest problem is coaching. Look at the Cleveland game. First drive of the game, the Vikings moved the ball right down the field. Cleveland adjust to how their defense played and the Vikings kept trying the same things. Musgrave doesn't know how to adjust to what the defense does to adjust. I think he only has about 6 plays that he knows and just keeps running them over and over hoping they will eventually work. He is just plain bad.

I really don't think the QB is really the biggest issue...This coaching staff needs to go before anything really good can happen. Frazier is outcoached and overmatched ever game. Musgrave couldn't coach his way out of a paper bag

I disagree. I watched that Pittsburgh game the other night. They flat out stink! The Vikes will handle them no problem. WorthlessBurger has zeeeeeero recievers to throw to. Pouncy (center) is out for the season so he is continually being rushed... and then makes very Ponderish passes to less than talented recievers.

Viking fans should be glad Ponder got "told" he was hurt (wink wink)... I think he would've gotten his 1st win of the season otherwise... thus playing for at least two more games post-bye. Cassel is far from the Messiah, but you should see a passing game again... well if the O-line comes to work and if Muskrat can come up with a 6th, 7th and 8th play in his mezzmerising play book! laugh

Good Luck!

trust me nofish... I am not a Vikings fan, but I cannot put a win together with the steelers... they are horrible. I may eat my words, but I don't think so. I still think EZVEN Ponder would win in that game.

The Browns at least have a very good Defense, Tight end and Reciever. That's more than the Steelers have... and more than the Vikes could handle.

Good Luck!

Why not anybody other than CP, can you picture CP hoisting the Lombardi trophy in a convertible in downtown Minneapolis ever in his career ? So if Bud Grant couldn't get it done, go with whoever. At least Jennings said Cassel commands the huddle etc. What does that mean ? CP doesn't ? He doesn't do the things the best QB's do during games, like Manning up 37 points late, he's still on the bench with his receivers going through film/pictures tweaking routes, back shoulder throws in this situation etc. They are still trying to be better and he's MVP/HOF kind of guy. I see CP arms crossed standing alone too often. That is why I can't support the guy. I can't put much on Cassel this wkd, I'm sure many hope he's the answer but Mike Tomlin will have some say in it as well as their blitz packages.

In short:

- Cassel is not any better than ponder, unless he somehow magically got better while sitting on the bench.

- Ponder did not lose the last 3 games for us. He didn't really help us out much but he's not the one that let the other team score with 30 seconds on the clock. do NOT take this as a statement to mean that i think Ponder isn't a terrible QB. He is a terrible QB, though I think he'll be a decent coach down the line. I digress.

- Felton is back, which will help AP run for 150 yards and 3 td's

- we'll still lose though on a late 4th quarter drive, on a 20-30 yard fade route to the corner of the end zone. Sound familiar? It should.

Walsh will kick 2 50 yard FG's though just to help my fantasy squad out.

WorthlessBurger with zeeeeero receivers threw for over 400 yards last week and our defense is in total shambles right now. It doesn't look good to me......

    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
    • I haven’t done any leaf springs for a long time and I can’t completely see the connections in your pics BUT I I’d be rounding up: PB Blaster, torch, 3 lb hammer, chisel, cut off tool, breaker bar, Jack stands or blocks.   This kind of stuff usually isn’t the easiest.   I would think you would be able to get at what you need by keeping the house up with Jack stands and getting the pressure off that suspension, then attack the hardware.  But again, I don’t feel like I can see everything going on there.
    • reviving an old thread due to running into the same issue with the same year of house. not expecting anything from yetti and I already have replacement parts ordered and on the way.   I am looking for some input or feedback on how to replace the leaf springs themselves.    If I jack the house up and remove the tire, is it possible to pivot the axel assembly low enough to get to the other end of the leaf spring and remove that one bolt?   Or do I have to remove the entire pivot arm to get to it? Then I also have to factor in brake wire as well then. What a mess   My house is currently an hour away from my home at a relatives, going to go back up and look it over again and try to figure out a game plan.           Above pic is with house lowered on ice, the other end of that leaf is what I need to get to.   above pic is side that middle bolt broke and bottom 2 leafs fell out here is other side that didnt break but you can see bottom half of leaf already did but atleast bolt is still in there here is hub assembly in my garage with house lowered and tires off when I put new tires on it a couple months ago. hopefully I can raise house high enough that it can drop down far enough and not snap brake cable there so I can get to that other end of the leaf spring.
