Trail cam Pic's or Video

Nothing huge but some future potential hopefully! Two different recent bucks. First time for that spike on camera (since spring/early summer anyway when the antlers first started growing) Date and time is off. 2 days and 6 hours behind

This is a shooter...

This one I'd LIKE to shoot, but don't think I can...

Definite shooter in my book.

Assuming the front buck is the same as the previous pic, can't tell if the back one is a shooter, but think he's close.

Question to you photo experts.

I have a 5 MP camera now. I see some cameras are coming in at 10MP. Have you had much luck with better quality pictures at night with the 10 MP? How about your day pictures? I would think you would? I have a moultrie at present.

I have 8 mp cameras. They have terrific day time photos. They are both also IR cameras, and I'll tell ya that no, I do not see megapixels come into play with IR. just the nature of IR. I've found the only reason for needing a higher mp camera is just to make things clearer when u do decide to print photos off, and you are zooming or cropping the photo

Agreed, 5mp is good enough for a game camera. Now if you were going to print 8x10 photos, and want high quality prints, then go as high as possible. I have a 12mp, and the night time photos arent any better then any other IR camera, but the day time pictures, I can zoom in, and check out the tiniest things on the pictures. But really 5mp is enough for a game camera.

1st bucks I've got on camera this year. Hung it on a branch about 12 ft off the ground over a salt block. Had pictures of smaller deer and other critters visiting the block too. For reference, had deer on the block about 3 days after putting it out with deer walking by and ignoring it the first 3 days. They've been on it since and the block is disappearing fast in a decent sized bowl in the ground. The bucks only show up around midnight, however.

I think the bigger of these two would be very nice to arrow.
