RawHog
They didn't score enough in the first 3 qtrs and lost to a superior Colts football team

Big Dave2
Quote:In the second half, the Colts dominated.Luck threw an 8-yard TD pass to Dwayne Allen and set up Adam Vinatieri for a 50-yard field goal to make it 21-13 midway through the third quarter. He then ran it in from 3 yards out with 18 seconds left in the third quarter to get the Colts within 21-19.A few minutes later, Vinatieri hit a 28-yard field goal to give Indy its first lead, 22-21.But Aaron Rodgers got Green Bay's offense back in sync in a hurry.Alex Green ran 41 yards on the Packers' first play, and Rodgers threw an 8-yard TD pass to James Jones on the next one to give the Packers a 27-20 lead with 4:30 to go. Rodgers was 21 of 33 for 243 yards with three touchdowns and one interception. All the Packers had to do was stop Luck one more time to clinch it.Luck and Wayne wouldn't allow it.With the clock ticking down and anxious fans hoping and praying they could get this win for Pagano, Luck converted two third-down passes to Wayne, then scrambled for a third third-down conversion before, fittingly, spotting Wayne for the go-ahead score.Green Bay (2-3) had a chance to force overtime with a 51-yard field goal. But Mason Crosby's attempt went left with 3 seconds to go, setting off an emotional celebration on the Colts sideline.
Nate McVey
Wait a minute......didn't the Vikings lose to the Colts also? Hmmmmmm.......Here comes the "we're 4-1" garbage..........good for the Vikings, I'm actually impressed that they're playing as well as they are. I don't think it will mater much in a few weeks when they start playing division games, but it's a nice fuzzy feeling to keep you warm at night for the time being..... MuleShack
They couldn't stop RWayne and the pass...which is normally their strong suit. He was their Percy Harvin in the last drive

IN this thread I have not seen 1 Vike fan say ha, we are 4-1. Has to be from a losing Packer fan as thats the only 1 I see saying this.Since you bring it up. yes it does feel better being 4-1 rather than a lame 2-3. Since I root for the Vikes, I can deal with losing but can a Packer fan?????Get a grip Nate.
Eric Wettschreck
Tom, I worked from 2 am to noon on Sunday so I watched most of the pack game though my eyelids. However, from what I remember in my fuzzy daze is in the second half the pack pretty much just got out played. Indy scored a TD and made the 2 pt conversion to make it a 3 point lead. Pack missed a game tying field goal at the end of the game.
Dark Cloud
Harv - Nate said here comes the 4-1 garbage and you ran right into the trap. Then said good for the Vikes and now he needs to get a grip? Maybe you need a new pescription in those Purple Glasses?
james_walleye
How is touting 4-1 garbage? Lol. Especially when everyone on here still thinks this is maybe an 8 win team. No one here is taking 4-1 and turning that into going on a deep playoff run. Darn right 4-1 is fuzzy when I thought this was a 5-11 squad. It's fuzzy to have the team relevant right now. And its also fuzzy that the "new Americas team" is 2-3.
harvey lee
DC, I do not wear purple glasses, never have as I know how the Vikes can go down the tubes.Nate said, Here comes the 4-1 garbage, not me. I did not look at it as a trap but a dig to the Vikes fans, thats all. You may have taken it much different than I it looks like. Not sure at all what else it could have meant. One has to remember it is Pro sports we are rtaling about not a life and death issue. basssmasher*
I love the Vikes and to Nate, yes it DOES feel good to be 4-1 right now.. We all know our 2nd half schedule will be brutal so maybe we are just waiting for the proverbal other shoe to drop ( lifelong vikes fans know this). That being said, the Pack was up 21-3, IF they had a decent Offensive line- the 2nd 1/2 of that game is more of the same. But it's hard to win a game when your double check discount QB is trying to throw the ball while sitting on the turf being sacked.. Even if you fix that problem, you still have another in no running game right now.
thatoneguy
It has worked out well for the Purple that they have a jello-soft schedule the first half of the year. It has allowed them to build chemistry and confidence, and grow as a team. Given the way that San Francisco has demolished its competition this year, that win really shows that this team is playing at a high level and has some real potential. That said, after the bye week I think the good times are about over. MN could easily be 8-2 or 7-3 going into the bye. After that, they will do well to scrape together two wins in the last 6 games...the schedule is killer! Still, they've already exceeded expectations this year - especially on defense - and given fans reason to have some guarded optimism about the future.I still think the NFC North will come down to the Packers and the Bears, but it's fun that at least the Vikes are in the conversation, almost 1/3 of the way through the season. nofishfisherman
I think the Pack are being exposed for what they have been the last several years. They have a terrible o-line, no running game at all, and no ability to stop a team on defense. A high powered passing game will only cover these issues for so long. Sooner or later they start to become very evident and that is exactly what is happening this year.
Cooter
They got ouplayed big time in the 2nd half by a fired up, emotional team. Next Sunday night will be huge for them with a very tough game on the road. They need to turn things around soon to have a chance. The last 6 weeks are all division games except one but at this rate its going to be an uphill battle.
LMITOUT
Who knows, maybe Green Bay will get the opportunity to play teams using back up QB's as well.
