Dark Cloud
This is kind of a work in progress (and it's going to take a while), but those of you with 10 years of "having more fun" behind you will have a little surprise in your profile options. You will have to enable it in order for it to appear. Looks like I will have to wait till may to get my gold star. 10 years! Hard to believe... Duffman
Whoo Hoo! Never got a gold star in school, better late than never! It's been a fun place to hang out for the last decade or so. Lots of info and a ton of laughs.

hanson
Yeah!! Got my Gold Star! I had a post ages ago titled "How you Found FM?" or something along those lines. My simple answer is Upper Red Lake. Was searching for any information about ice roads, reports, lures, baits, etc to catch those crappies. Been an interesting journey for sure... alot of things I've experienced have been a result of this site. From ice fishing URL to having a permanent sleeper house on URL, becoming a catfisherman, catching my first sturgeon and the many that followed that one, getting reintroduced to the world of walleye fishing (thanks Borch!), fishing the Cat's Incredible Tournament, shooting my first turkey and many more. I can't blame my new addiction of tournament walleye fishing to the site but fishing with Borch had played a big role in getting me back into walleye fishing. Which has ultimately led to winning the 2011 FLW Walleye Tour on Lake Oahe as a Co-Angler last year. Pretty crazy to connect the dots. FLW this year is taking us to Lake Erie, Miss River Pool 4, Bays de Noc, Lake Oahe, and Miss River @ Quad Cities, IA. I have met one of my travel partners through this site however. Ultimately, this journey will take me to running a pro boat on the FLW Walleye Tour. It'll just be a matter of time.

Or, maybe I don't wish it did. That might be a little frightening. Thanks Rick for providing all the recreation and information for almost 12 years. DTro
There sure have been some ups and downs Hanson. I was always an open water addict, but never caught the ice bug until you took me out a few times, that really kick started my interest. Thanks! I can still remember sitting in a lecture at UMC with my college issued laptop searching Minnesota fishing on the Internet when fishing minesota popped up. I've gained a lot of knowledge from these forums and thank all the contributors to this site over the years.
