worlds fastest deer cleaning

Recommended Posts

My former brother in law's younger brother moved to florida and number of years ago and he would hunt in georgia and basically that is how they butcher their deer. there is no field dressing down there. The first time he hunted down there, the good ol' boys he was hunting with down there couldn't believe that he had field dressed his deer. Paul mentioned something about hanging the deer over a big barrel and letting it all roll out of the deer into the barrel.

The was a fresh kill, when he pulls the skin of the rib cage, blood start to flow. You can see the entrance and exit wounds. hardly any brusing. Also it was a fawn or yearling. My cousin shot one once, and I butchered it for him. The bones are very soft. If you notice he basically breaks the legs off with one cut of the saw. pretty cool, but lets see that done in November, in a cold pole barn, on a 200 lbs buck..

My guess is that if he did it with the deer being feild dressed it would throw him off. The boys in Canada never feild dress them either. They hang them head down just like he did. I really don't care about the size of fresh kill thing, that was really impressive

yeah that is insane! apparently all the guys down south do head down, they look at you funny if you string one up by the neck/head

I actually hang them head down and know a lot of others that do to. From what I have seen it's about 50/50 in MN and is often based on personal preference or how you were raised.

I am not that fast, but that's basically the same way I clean deer. I have never field dressed one. Ever. Hang em and tube skin em like a fox or coyote or whatever. They clean way easier when they are still warm than if you let them hang with the hide on for however long...plus the meat can cool faster.
