Well... We have allowed 36 in the past four games. Nine runs per game. Looks like we are roaring into the postseason like a wet fart. Meanwhile, Tampoon and Maxi Pad are on the bench getting rusty and the manager got beaned in his own dome. If we cant stop Detriot or KC we will be done in 3 in the playoffs. We should have home field locked up, but they are blowing that chance. They are the ONLY MN team that ever has a chance, but I think we may have peaked too soon. I hope I am severely wrong and made to look like a major donkey.

I'm more concerned about how Pavano and Liriano are pitching then the recent post clinch collapse which is very disappointing like you said.

So we take the Yanks out in the 1st round round what's the problem!

Texas is going to take out Tampa any-way so we'll have home field if we beat the Yanks!

Go Twins~

Better to have this collapse now and get it over with. That being said, I'd like to see all healthy starters return and get us WINNING and firing on all cylinders again.

What did I hear the last night? Hardy is hurt again, Joe is seemingly on vacation, and Thome prefers the "Treatment" that Target Field affords. Valencia (essentially a rook) was hitting DH?!? I'm all for giving players some games off, but it's starting to get out of hand. Let's get back to bid'ness boys!

I have no problem with letting the starters that are injured a bit get some rest.

My concern is that the starting pitching has been in the tank.

Can they turn it around, yes. It well could be that since they won their division, the starters have been slackers.

I hope the starters can turn it back on and hopefully we can beat both the Yanks and TB for the most wins. It is still very possible if the pitchers get it together.

My biggest concern for the starters is Pavano.

I'm hoping we end up like the 2006 Cards did a few years back when they were terrible down the stretch, but ended up cruising to a World Series title..... but then again, if we don't have most of our guys back..... I don't see us having a chance.

Nothing like Morales at 1st, Butera catching and someone like Revere DHing with everybody's buddy Punto starting at Shortstop...... sounds like a winner to me!!

Seems that is where they may be headed with their play as of late. I doubt one can simply switch to playing well in 1 game.

True which is why we need the starters back for Toronto. First lets get back to pitching, then maybe winning.

Man, it'd sure be nice to get home field advantage. The playoff energy in the new ballpark is going to be high voltage. If not, oh well. Playoffs in sports are a whole new ballgame, you guys should know that. I'm not too concerned, they'll start revving up here shortly.

If they meet the Yanks, they will have to rev it up farther than they have in many seasons.

I am not to concerned about the fielding and the hitting but I am concerned about our starting pitching.

We will have our better players healed up and I hope they can come out again and not have to wait to get back in the groove with their bats.

Yes, we will need to have the home field advantage to have any chance at all.

    • My kid was eating in Beverly Hills and ran into this guy. Talked to him a bit and wished him luck in the game tonight.
    • 🤔as a recovering machinist!🤣🤣that must make me a recovering welder!
    • As a recovering machinist, I can appreciate that.  If the spec is 0.001 - 0.0015, then clearly the correct measurement is 0.00125, duh…
    • I just figured that it is easy enough to just get a 3 bank so when the boat is not in use I can keep all 3 batteries charged. I have not bough a charger yet, maybe I will give it some more thought. Edit: After thinking this over, with the size, weight, and heat output of the charger (as well as the cost) I think it makes sense to just buy a 2 bank charger, I have a smaller charger i can use on the starting battery when the boat is sitting at home. Forgive me, for i am a retired engineer and I have to obsess over everything...
    • Congrats on the motor!  I think you’ll like it.   I can’t say much on the charger location but I’ve seen them under the lid in back compartments and under center rod lockers.  160 degrees is more than I expected to hear.   Curious why you’re opting for a 3 bank charger with a 24V trolling motor.  Unless you don’t feel you be running you big motor enough to keep that battery up as well?
    • I did buy an Minnkota Ulterra, thanks for the recommendations. I had a bunch of Cabela"s bucks saved up, which helped. Now i need to get an onboard battery charger. Where do you guys mount these things in your boat? The manufacturer I am looking at {Noco genius) says tht their 3-bank charger will run at 160 degrees, seems like a lot of heat in an enclosed compartment? Thanks for any input on this.
    • You're very lucky a troop of Sea Monkey's didn't carry you away.
    • Wasn't terrible at a state park beach. Antelope island maybe.  I wouldn't recommend it as a beach destination tho.  Figured I was there, I'm getting in it.
    • The water looked and smelled disgusting with hundreds of thousands of birds sh*tting in there.  About as gross as the Salton Sea. When I duck hunted there I didn't even want to touch the water.
    • It's kinda gross with the algae in the summer but I got in it anyway.  Wanted to see the increased bouyancy at work.  You can kinda tuck yourself into a ball and you'll just float with your head above water.  When dry off you look diamond encrusted with the salt.
