"They just ain't Bitin'" was the name of my first boat. My grandfather (lifelong fishing partner) passed away when I was 21 or so. He left me some money that was to go towards a downpayment towards my first boat. I bought a 1990something Smokercraft Lazer with a 70 Johnson.

The relavance of the name? Well grandpa was not the most scientific of anglers. He would always take me to the SAME spot and fish the same way, on ice or in water mind you. He was the ultimate spot fisherman. As we all know (or at least we all should know) spots are only good when the fish are there, which in many cases is not often. When we would get home to grandma or family he would always say, "they just ain't bitin'".

Never forget the day I said why don't you let me drive. They bit, years later after he died my dad told me a story's about how my grandpa was amazed at how we would catch fish when I drove and that I was so accurate at casting a baitcaster I could take turtles off logs. Good memories, I remember those turtles like it was yesterday.

Grasshopper. Ever since I was a kid one of my dads friends always called me young grasshopper but yet I always seemed to outfish him. I couldn't think of a name for the boat so that fit pretty good since it made me laugh.

Soft Hands. Since I work on a computer 5 days a week and live in the city, all the guys from up north would call me Soft Hands. So, once I finally got a boat, the boat now has the name.

Wormdunker- Good story. I have a lot of memories of fishing with my late Grandfather as well, he was the one that taught me how to catch fish. I think a lot of folks around here can relate.

I named my first boat, a 19.25' bass boat with a 175 HP Merc on the back (I am on the audacious side), Beer For My Horses.

My long time friend and dedicated river rig is named..."Ol' Viagra".

It got it's handle due to it's color, sorta a teal blue..kinda. During a shoot for a local TV Sports Program they asked me what color it was....I said "I guess I would call it "Viagra Blue"...the name kinda stuck after that.

My ship motto is..."We fish long, and hard"

My river boat is named "The Tincan" because it is a 1976 Smokercraft that has been beaten and banged at the dockside while I was growing up. It has dents and dings in it but still floats without leaking. I decided to give it a paintjob back in the late eighties and painted it battleship grey. My buddys boat on Lake Michigan is named "The Hobbyshop". There are some good ones around thats for sure. I like Eddy's name and motto, good humor.

The "Aquabuck". I use to drive a GMC Jimmy through high school and most of my college days. We called the Jimmy the "Jimbuck" and since she hauled my boat around all the time the name gravitated towards my boat and "Aquabuck" was born.

"[Note From Admin: Please read forum policy before posting again. This is a family site. Thank you.] Hunter" I got a few weird looks, and a few high fives... Sadly I sold her this spring. So if you see a bass tracker with a "[Note From Admin: Please read forum policy before posting again. This is a family site. Thank you.] hunter" decal on the side, just nod your head and give him a thumbs up.
