I give up on predictions for this club. Offense was awesome (Brett Favre) in the second half last night but with this pass defense I am very concerned on how far we can go. I expect them to show up big time at home against a struggling NY team though.

PS. Arizona lost 4 of their last 6 games last year and went to the superbowl. We are as talented if not more talented so hope still remains!!

I'll take my chance to preach for a second. I couldn't believe the folks who were predicting that the Vikings would woop the Bears at Soldier Field. There was nothing about the Vikings that made me think they could blow out a divisional rival, on the road, in the cold, and on national television. Each one of those is a challenge for the Vikings this season.

My prediction is that they will beat the Giants at the Metrodome. It won't be a blow-out or a nail-biter, but just a plain old, ugly win. It will be something that the Vikings can build off of going into the playoffs.

The 93x guys were claiming that the Giants will come out onto the field with a keg and a couple hookers on the sideline, ready to throw the towel. I don't see it. Coughlin and his D-coordinator are fighting for their jobs and there was just as much hand-wrenching and regret after they got blown out in their final home game. Both the Vikings and Giants have something to fight for, and they both will fight hard.

I predict they win by at least a couple scores and the defense plays good like they typically do at home but for some reason can't do on the road.

That will be followed by posters stating that they've righted the ship and the saints, eagles, colts, chargers, etc. aren't really that good and predicting a super bowl win.

I think realistically that the teams superbowl hopes are very closely tied to dallas knocking off the eagles. A #3 or #4 seed means likely two road wins will be needed to get to the bowl. Given how the defense disappears on road games I can't see them winning two road games.

exactly let favre do what he did in the second half of the bears game and they will win favre knows how to run an offense

If Childress stays home, Vikes win 35-7. Childress standing on the sideline, Vikes win 17-14.

They win.....could be a blowout or could be a last minute field goal....only the shadow knows.

Remember.....for the Vikings to get the #2 seed, they have to win and Dallas has to beat the Eagles. If the Eagles win, it doesn't matter what the Vikings do. I hate the Cowboys, but if the Vikings win in the early game, I will be cheering on dem Boys.
