Sunday went out in the morning with a buddy n he had a buck tag n in the afternoon he said if you see anything I need meat...well after sitting in the truck listening to the vikes I got into my stand at 2:30 n wasn't thinking I would see anything started playing on my phone when this guy walked behind me!!! I am not much for cross tagging bucks but once this presented me with a shot I thought it would make it a season I will never duplicate!!!

What makes your dad's rack stand out and score high is the spread along with the mass. The bruiser a couple of posts down from yours is a 150 class because the main beams curl around and come back to each other. Your dad's come staright out. That will add another 10" to the score over the other buck. Also yours looks pretty good from side to side. I would guess you have less than 10" of deductions.

He's not as big as some on here but I have to give respect to this guy I took on friday afternoon. I thought he was an older deer when I shot. Still a respectable buck I just wish I had let him go for another year or two.

Shot this 9 pointer last Wednesday night. My wife took some great pics, but I'm not allowed to touch that camera & she still hasn't emailed me them. Took this one with my camera when I was putting him back in my truck. He was too heavy to load by myself, so I cheated a little. I thought he looked pretty cool in there.

My brother took this pic with his phone under the parking lot lights at work where we'd left his truck. I shot him right before dark. By the time we got to him it was too dark for cell phone pics.

Nonteepical,

I know of a huge non typical that was shot 2 miles from my house, there was some "controversy" over it because it was shot by a 2 different parties. The river bottom was full of deer, just nothing big enough to have you score, maybe muzzy season will get a big boy hanging out in the back yard.

C'mon Musky Buck, let's see your pic. After all the doubt and negative vibe we were hearing about your area what with poaching, trespassers, etc I'd like to see what you finally crossed paths with.

After all the finger pointing and negative posts I would like to see what makes him happy too.

You did the same last year Musky Buck said you got one and never posted pics.

So lets see what you got.

No pictures loaded yet, but watched 3 bucks chasing a doe thursday night and managed to plug the largest of the 3, haven't heard that much grunting in my life after many many deerless sits, that doe had a serious look of concern on her face. No wonder she was up and moving through the tamarac swamp.

Pics or it didn't happen!

Picture sent to Frosty, he's a decent 8 pointer. I also have to add being a somewhat newly married guy and having a daughter who had a long stay in a NICU, putting that meat in the freezer is becoming more important. Great deer guys, the only bad news is I can't rifle zone 1 or muzzleload now, but I pulled the trigger and have to happy with what I got. And I am.

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
