Some nice boats and IMO any thing that floats is a nice boat grin

A little rough around the edges and needs a good cleaning, but gets the job done wink

Looks like a 1981 Chrysler Bass Pro Runner 17 with a Chrysler 105hp (modified a wee bit). grin

Man Chuck, you know your boats laugh Deitz was close. If I recall, back then this was the style of the day for "bass boats" whistlegrin

Ya, the motor grin. She is putting out a little more HP after I went threw it back in 99-00, but I can not say enough for the new 2 wire CDI boxes they have for these old Chrysler's and Force's from CDI Electronics. They actually have a long warranty that comes with them (years rather than days wink ), increased power (a direct bolt on part that gained me 4-5 mph at WOT) and the all around general running of the engine is much smoother. With the hours I have on this one now, I have even thrown away my old reman factory style spare I had stowed in the boat grin I was told by the cool bearded guy at Twin City Outboard that this CDI system will never go out, but after running it last year, now I feel safe grin. They offer pretty much the identical one for older Mercury’s and look nothing like the old rectangle square factory boxes.

Now if Chrysler would have had this CDI ignition system back in the day, they might have not been bought out by Force and if Force had it, they might have bought out Mercury grin

Well here is a couple, not very good pics, but should get the idea.

And packing up that evening:

We didn't catch anything but then again I didn't pick up any live bait as I knew we would only have about 3 hours on the water...

Both in great condition.

GBPackerNut, that Alumacraft is probably one of the coolest boats I've seen on here. Thats my style of boat all the way. Nice!

Thanks man! Nice to see some love for regular boats on here, I used to visit another forum a while back, and it seemed like everyone over there was running 65K Rangers and other boats of that caliber. Dont get me wrong, it would be great to have a huge 20' Warrior or Ranger with a 250 on the back. But heck I wouldnt know where to park it, and then I would have to worry about filling the gas tanks! smile

Gotta love some of these older classic boats, reminds me of fishin with dad 20+ years ago.

Here is a couple better pictures of my rig...
