Kinda sad that it is only 4 days this year.Probably going to be very crowded on the weekend.Ill be headin down on Sunday.Used to be nice when it went on for a week or so cause I would go twice, once to look everything over and once to look everything over again and buy. Also had a good list of seminars to listen to.

I probably won't go this year. I have nothing I need to buy and I don't need to be tempted.

The seminars are usually worth the time and I encourage people to go. I wouldn't recommend the Ron Schara seminar however. I'm not sure if he is speaking again this year but his seminar last year was pretty lame. He just stood up there and played video clips from his show. So he didn't have to talk, he just had to operate a remote control.

However we also went to hear someone from the walleye tour speak and he was great. Really gave alot of good info and everyone from a beginner to an expert could get something out of it.

Have not been to one in a few years would like to go but the weather looks like its going to be realy nice.

Whats the cost of parking, got soaked at the ice show could be deciding factor. Put that money towards the fish on the river.

If you're looking to buy any new equipment, there are usually some very good deals at the show. I always like the seminars too. I'll make it a point to stop in at the Camp Manitou booth!

What's a sawbuck?

I was at the show today. I only went to one seminar. I usually go to more, just ran out of time. I really enjoyed talking to all the people at the booths and the big name fishing pros that were on hand. I purchased a musky rod, a dozen lures, a magazine subscription, a couple t-shirts and a few misc items. Time went too fast.

The show really reflects the sign of the economy. There were some good deals, but the show was small in comparison to previous years. Only 2 campers, more than 1/4 of the building was empty, I didn't see several bigger boat sellers. ie Hallberg, but they did have some boats at the Skeeter booth. In general, I was disapointed overall.

Had a good day at the show. The coolest thing we saw were the 350hp four stroke motors. They were bigger than most of the people. I did get a big map of Otter Tail lake from Lake Master, it is the same as my chip the is in my GPS. And Sheldon's docks told me the he would weld my dock even though it wasn't bought there. As for parking we found a outdoor lot about 3 block north on 2 Ave for $5.00.
