Interesting happenings on the Time Bandit, too. Mike sure seems like a goofball, but I'll be he does a good job running the boat. You can tell he's got the passion and he knows that boat well.

Is it just me, or did Phil not give a lot of credit to Josh? He wasn't as vocal as Jake, but he seemed a lot more even keel. Hard to tell if he has the knowledge to take over yet, but I could see it happening within the next year or two. I gotta believe they get someone else to take the wheel for the remainder of opies.

I wonder how accurate the time of events were that lead up to Phil's stroke or whatever he had.

Was it right after he had a heart to heart with Jake about his addiction like they portrayed? Is the other Jake finding out about his missing dad at approx the same time as the other Jake is watching his dad die?

The editors probably don't have a lot to work with, but boy they sure pull everything together well.

All for the same reason. Mike is well-respected on the deck. Can't have him lipping off to the Captain and you can't just give it to Scotty. The Hillestrands have lifestyles to fund.

watch for it to re-run, they run it several times a week. they also play the previous weeks show before the new episode. It was a good one, I suggest you find it!!

tough one to watch last week like everyone else said even with knowing it was coming.

Jake- man he has a curse on him, first his sister then his father, make him have to grow up fast.

Mike on the Bandit would be a trip in the wheel house I bet, but I bet he will unintentionally screw something up to make some added drama and to PO Cap'n Johnathon

the roundtable discussion was good but not what I was expecting.

Edgar is cool, but get your back fixed and get back to work, he seems more hardcore crabber than any other deck dude, i don't think he can just walk away, has a little Favre in him I bet

Time bandit, I like the guys but come on... One day you have him and another as your bottom two choosing which one is fired, the next trip you are choosing him to take over and run the boat Them along with Edgar are I'm thinking feeling the t.v and endorsement money are more than enough to live on and just want to be done working. Cant blame them. I am just happy that so far the show has done the capt'n phil thing tastefully, this is history guy's, never before has a reality show documented, with the world watching, years of a mans life and then his death all on film...Sort of blurs the line between t.v and real life. Makes me wonder whats next in our society as technology advances.

I doubt he has his captains license, so he can't legally take it out of port.

Mike from Time Bandit has his own boat, the post before was refering to Josh, I dont think he does. The Mike and Russel soap opera from last season I beleave was for tv. Mike left the boat a couple years back to pursue another line of work, they knew all along they were keeping mike. Who Captains the Cornelia Marie, Phils friend and past engineer(dont remember his name) or could it be Jonathan from the Time Bandit they seemed to be pretty close.

I was suprised when Edgar talked about his family in the After the Catch show. He made mention that his wife "saved him" and that even when he was home he really wasn't there. Kind of makes me wonder if he had an addiction of some kind. Sounds like he's worked out his demons though and is more focused on his family.

Murry was Phil's previous stand in. I doubt he'll be back on the CM. He didn't like being the skipper for that time and left the boat after the season was over. It almost seemed like there was too much history between them and Murray was having a tough time seeing Phil deteriorate.

They mentioned last week about a "Murry" being the captain on another boat without specifying if it was Gamrath (?), think that's his last name, or not.

I'm waiting to find out.

Glad Josh decided to go to be with his dad. He would have never forgivin himself if he stayed with the boat. Looks like Phil comes out of it for a while next week. Man that was tough to watch!!

A lot of emotion from a guy I never expected it from: Freddie. That guy's had it rough but still works like a madman. Of all the guys on any boat out there, he's the guy I'd most like to have my back at a bar, and the guy I'd least like to square off against!

Josh is definately the right man for the job if he can get certified to run a boat. He's just right in the head, and has the determination that Phil had, and that Jake lacks. Glad to see him go to his Dad's side (and Jake's), as he would regret that for the rest of his life.

Yeah, no kidding. It was good when they would share stories and elaborate on what went on behind the scenes they didn't have time for on the show. Now they are having cooking contests, going bowfishing and reading from a script.

yeah last night was tough to watch we all know what happens already but still hard to watch. Im not that impressed with after the catch either, just kinda bland
