My wife had an 82 Chevette. She ran it to 100,000 and I put another 150,000 driving from St. Cloud to Minnetonka. The floor rusted out and I had to take out the passenger front seat. I couldn't keep an oil pan gasket in it so stripped usable parts and moved on to an 84 Chevette with just under 80,000. I ran it to over 200,000 before it burned out.

99 Chev Silverado, 5.3L V8. Bought new.

264,000 and counting. Rebuilt tranny at 176K, rebuilt rear end at 200K.

Engine is still plenty snappy - burns no oil, and I get 18-20 mpg. Just laughed when Mrs. Jackpine suggested I get rid of it to get "a more efficient car".

Hah! I've got your efficiency right here!

1997 Ford Expedition--255,000+ miles. One alternator replacement, other than that, just normal maintenance. Still looks and runs great, but sits in the garage now, because I have a newer one. I should have sold it before gas prices went up.

my mother-in-law has an 88 camry with a quarter million on it. other than basic preventative maint, and needing a recharge on the AC, it's still running like a top.

I also have a 1957 chev 210, with 201K on it.

I had a 91 S-10 Blazer that I finnaly put to rest due to body rust issues with just over 300,000 on the ticker. I replaced the ball joints every other year and that was about it. The 4.3 was still running strong, the tranny was tip-top and the 4x4 worked great (all original). The body just gave out. I was so sad to see that one go. I wished that GM had made the bodies as tough as that motor was. I beat the heck out of that truck and it always asked for more. Now I got a 95 Blazer with 140,000 on it and a Eagle Talon Tsi AWD with 150,000 on it both looking to hit 300,000.

1999 GMC Sierra 5.3liter 4x4 Ext Cab

196,000 miles now

Transmission totally rebuilt about 1,000 miles ago. frown

Transmission guy told me you'd never believe this truck has 196k looking underneath it. Took that as a compliment. smile

Water Pump, Fuel Pump, Fuel Pressure Regulator, Left Front Bearings, ABS Computer (long time ago under warranty)

My goal has always been 250,000 with this truck which will give me 2 solid more years of use. I might even shoot for more now that the transmission is darn near new again. BFG All-Terrains have another 50-60k of use left which will get me to the 250k mark as well.

I'll need shocks and brakes soon as well.

Paid off the loan a year ago.

I love that truck!

My first deisel is running strong at 254K miles. SRW

Second diesel is running strong at 193K miles. SUV

Third diesel is running strong at 154K miles. DRW

Together it's a lot of miles but for three 7.3's it's really nothing.

My wife has an '03 Impala that she bought brand new. It has 178K on it and chalked up four deer. She has a 50+ mile one-way commute to work from Babbitt to Finnland down Hwy 1 in NE MN. That car has seen more moose in the last four years than most people will see in a lifetime. grin

-92 Camry with 330,000+ that I sold for $900 recently. This car has been around the whole United States. Many trips to California, and Atlanta. All original motor and auto tranny. Just regular maintenance.

-91 Integra with 201,000+ Daily driven-motor and transmission runs like new, few rust spots, but everything is original. Going to retire it at 300,000 smile

-99 Subaru Forester AWD 150,000+ with original motor, manual tranny, and clutch. Had it since 2000 with only 5,000 miles and I think this thing is going to run forever.Just t-belt and water pump maintenance. Still gets 25 mpg on the highway.

-2000 4Runner 74,000 I never hardly drive this thing anymore.

97 Camry 3.0l V6 has 190k miles on it, just finally did the first timeing belt this summer at 185k along with the first tuneup, Start it up and you can't even tell if its running its that quiet, had another Camry that had 230k on it and traded it in and they gave us 4500 on trade in!

My mom and dad just totalled there 98 lumina that went 260k original tranny and engine, really good car also, and it was the 3.1 liter not the 3.8! We all were really sorry to see that car get towed away

I used to have a 90 4 runner with the v6, manual tranny went at 230k replaced that drove it for awhile, gave it to a friend he drove it for awhile, traded it in at 300k and they gave him 1500 for it!

91 honda crx 192,xxx. 1.5 auto

Original engine & tranny. Been daily driving 4+ years.

these were built to go a long way. hard to find unmolested, they're a popular engine swap vehicle. mine was undercoated and has over rear wheel rust, but for the most part it's really solid. I just did a timing belt, tranny fluid change, and front coil/struts recently, about $320 total. I can see this car hitting 250k easy.
