It's a lamprey mark. I pulled up a northern a few weeks ago outa minnetonka with one still on it.

I doubt is was a lamprey. There was a flap of skin that had been lifted from the wound. You can see it in the picture at about 11:00 above the wound.

True, although how a sea lamprey could have made it to Lake Minnetonka would be a real mystery.
