We watched "The Dark Night" and thought it was a great movie! If someone wanted to save money on the rent I'd recommend buying it. The only thing that was a little corny was the way Christian Bale spoke when he was Batman. I do a pretty good impression and had my wife laughing pretty hard after the movie. grin

Good renting,

I thought Get Smart was bad. I can only take Steve for so long which is probably why I like the office so much. 4 out of 10 stars

I rented Tropic Thunder last night and turned it off half way through. I laughed one time. 1 out of 10. I give it a one just because they actually put it on the big scren. Just might be the worst movie I have ever seen. I spent $3 on it. Thats a new mud bug or scud bug from Northland I could have had. crycry

I can't believe I haven't seen that yet. I haven't rented a movie in I don't know how long. Over new years I did manage to watch some Pink Floyd in concert DVD's, pretty cool

Better than any movie out there in my book.

Watched Pineapple Express. It had some funny parts to it but I thought it was mediocre. My wife liked it more than I did and its supposed to be a guy movie. I guess I've seen enough Apatow films to know what's coming. Mary Jane, rear end flashing, drug and sex jokes, racial humor. Oh well.

We watched "Eagle Eye" the other night and boy was I disappointed. It was a ok movie for action, special effects and some of the one liners but the story line was WAAAAAAAY too far fetched. It didn't take long for things to get almost comical. There was one scene where this guy starts running down the road because he is trying to get away and the power lines start breaking above him and they come down and bzzzzzzt. It was almost like those cartoons where the tree is falling and the character doesn't just step aside. If you want a good laugh er of a movie than pick this dud up.

Good renting,

Seen the Bucket List, Friday night after the fireworks up at Garrison and a little casinoizing. Pretty good movie, I don't think either one of those guys ever starred in a truely bad movie? Kinda sad though, definately not a feel good movie.

Finally got around to watching it last night (free HBO this weekend) and I wasn't disappointed, great movie. And you're right, Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson have always been a couple of my favorite actors.

Yes, that is a great one, none better than Jack. I like Morgan, but he is almost a type cast actor these days, always the wise old man, the detective in the movie Seven, the prisoner in whatever that movie was where the other guy digs the tunnel to escape, and this character.

But the 3 things never to forget, hilarious!

We watched "The Incredible Hulk" last night and really liked it. It had some slow moments but Edward Norton does a good job. They also hat the old Hulk in there as a security guard for a small appearance. They left the ending pretty wide open as Stark (a.k.a. Ironman) showed up?!? I'd recommend this movie to everybody but don't know if it would be good for younger kids.

Happy Renting,

I watched a couple of movies this weekend. Rightous Kill with robert deniro and pacino. I though this movie was very good and a must see. The other movie was Apaloosa. This was a country western movie kinda like tombstone but a lil different plot. It was an ok movie, not great but not bad.

watched my best freinds girl this weekend with the fiance (not my first movie choice), and you could pretty much guess what was going to happen in the end, although it did throw a few twists in that made you second-guess your assumption. laughed a bunch. wasnt the best romantic comedy, but was good to watch

Watched "RocknRolla" great show but a little hard to follow at the beginning but ounce you get over the english accents and figure out the characters your on your way to a good show.

Also "Forgetting Sarah Marshal" mad what a waist of time.

And " Burn after reading " thought it was good but I think you have to be a Coen brothers fan to enjoy it witch I am.

I have "They call me Trinity" and "Trinity is still my name" coming, saw them years ago and excited to see them again. I highly recommend these if you like the old spaghetti westerns

Great reviews from everybody. Redbox owes us a few movies so I'll have to get renting.

We watched "Smoke Jumpers" the other night and thought it was a bit cheesy. It seemed like it was meant to be a made for TV flic but oh well, it was just a buck to rent it.

We also watched "Open Season 2". The kids laughed a lot but we thought Mr. Weenie was a bit too big for his role! grin

Ashton's character also had an incredible "Rack" in the beginning. Too bad he had the reduction. lol crazy After seeing the movie with the kids a couple times it was funny to watch their reactions to different scenes. Now we find ourselves quoting a few lines from the movie.

Happy renting,

I was slightly disappointed with Open Season 2. My boy loves the first one and I like it a lot too. We tried watching #2 the other night, I bought it for him, and it was tough. They didn't keep any of the same actor's voices, they were all different and it was the first thing I noticed. The animation wasn't nearly as crisp in #2 either. My boy ran off into his room to play rather than watch the movie with me, he lost interest about 20 minutes in.

If you haven't seen it, I would say don't waste your time. They cheaped this one to the max, and it shows.

My boy likes the first one so much that he calls people "Veggie Burger" and "Knuckle Dragger" from the scene in the office when Shaw pulls up next to Beth's truck in town.

The other movie I watched a couple nights ago was "Death Race". Another movie that I can't recommend. I am usually one for gore, and while there were a couple cool scenes, it was way overdone for my tastes.

I should really post in here more often, I have been watching a lot of movies as of late.
