bucks-n-ducks
Ok well its not new, but it is new to me and my first boat. It is a 1989 Lund Tyee 18ft. If you guys have any suggestions on what to put in the boat, or anything let me know, I need some help here. I'll tell you what I have: It did come with two depth finders, one at the console and one up front on the trolling motor, it came with a air horn, and I have life jackets, also came with a wind sock..other then that, I get to add all the other "goodies" any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys,Bucks-n-ducks

hoggs222
You will need a fire extinguisher, a throwable floating seat cushion to be a legal beagle.*For sure a good net*extra fuses on hand*Anchor*Rope to tie up with and some bumbers for the sides.*Some buoys? Unless you have a gps.*Some map books, unless you have a gps.I'm drawing a blank now.

LocalGuide
"What do I need in the boat?" YOU! Along with some fish! Then your rod holders, cup holders are nice, all the legal stuff, a permant "only for the boat" pliers, band-aids are handy, athletic tape (incase it gets real bad! ), and electrical tape. That should about sum it up. Im sure other people mentioned some of this already but it never hurts to hear it a second time.

Nodak7mm
Couple other things to add: Spare hub assy w/bearings & small bottle jack for the trailer, spare bilge pump (wired with alligator clips to attach to battery as the other only fails when you need it powered & pumping NOW) and install a std ritchie compass to supplement/backup your GPS.. Some mentioned it b4 but again a FIRST AID kit & a good marine band radio + 8' antenna, spare cotter keys to go along with your spare prop. Spare plugs for motor, spare plug for boat. A several "tupperware" containers for dry boxes and stash boxes. Throw in an assortment of tye wraps, electrican tape and duct tape and ya outta bout have it covered with what everyone else mentioned.. Many more items will come to mind each time ya go out. Since your from Plummer, gotta ask your initials?? My family farm is there.. Enjoy your new ride and may you fill your box!!! Rod V.
