Dan Thiem
I don't know if this has been discussed earlier here or not, but alot of people that post on here have some very unique names. I was just wondering how everybody came up with their own. Mine, I guess that was my parents idea. So if you don't mind, maybe tell us how did you come up with yours. Northlander
Born and raised in the Northland. Duluth/Superior. And I was in a hurry. Before I could change it people were using it so it stuck. Probably as good as the other name I would have used anyway.

Ely Lake Expert
The reason I have my name is that I think I may have spent more hours fishing on Ely lake in my life than I have spent sleeping. I love going to other lakes, but when you live on one lake and have a boat there to use it is just easier.Ryan

Gissert
A friend and I were sitting in the Underwood Legion about 12 years ago, back when it was a regular bar called the Pub. An old farmer came in and ordered a beer. A few minutes later, he points to a jar in the cooler and says in a heavy Minnesota/Scandinavian accent, "Hey der, take and giff me one of dem pickled gisserts, der."I chuckled, and wrote "gissert" down on a cocktail napkin. We proceeded to make up more phonetic spellings and write them down. Gloves=cluffs, brain=prane, etc.Once I went online, Gissert came roaring back so I decided to use it as a screen name. sunnyj
Back in collage had a girlfriend who drank Sun Country Wine Coolers so I always had some in the fridge. All my buddies drank beer and thought I was a wuss, so they called me Suncountry. That name was too long so they shortend it to sunny. Had to add the j, first letter of first name, as sunny was taken
