180...15 miles north of Duluth,
6" of fresh snow Monday Nov 4 and
the temp to plummet to 5 degrees
opening mornin, was planning on
sitting in my tree stand all day,
but after the cold forecast I will
just sit there till I can't hack
the cold chill.

Area 249 west of the Big Pond. I took a doe with the bow two weeks ago so now I can be a little pickier. I have most of next week off work so I plan on spending a lot of time in a stand. Can’t wait!

110 7 miles North of Blackduck off Cty Rd 41. Can't wait, I've been seeing deer all over the place. Hunt on Private and Public land. I've been doing everything possible not to think of going up there early. Only 2 sleepless nights left.

Hossienda,
Grew up in Glenwood, grad."77, mostly hunt Barsness Township area, the corner of 104 and 18. Also have a relative with land right on lake Ben. We also hit all the public land, I like the one out on CR12 on the other side of Glacier State Park

DannyBerg,

Ya got me by about 15 years, as I graduated in 92. However, I know the areas you mentioned well. Are you talking about the state land that butts up to the back of the state park, and usually has a small corn or bean foodplot?? That is one of my favorite pieces. Good luck!!

115 off the Echo trail near Ely. First time deer hunting in Minnesota, after hunting for years in N.D. and Wis.

Almost picked the area north of Bemidji (family cabin on Lake Beltrami), but decided not to travel that far.

Can't wait. grin.gif

Hossienda,
You are correct sir !, I hit that land for deer, duck, and pheasant. Always get something out of there. You know Luke Moe? he is my cousin, he graduated in 92 or 93. Not too far down the road, there is a little game farm that releases partridges, every now and then a couple escape from there and end up in the public land. So watch for those also.
