masoct3
Cub has $.99 whole turkeys right now. I'm debating buying one, but I have a few in the freezer already. Thank you, sir. I picked up two of them. They range from 10-14 which is great for taste, and also saw a 21 pound. I was thinking about it, but splurged for the medium sizes. McGurk
Not meat, per se... but Menards has Royal Oak Lump (green bag) on sale for $4.99/bag, with a $2 rebate on each bag, limit 4 per address. So you could get 4 bags after rebate for less than $15 with tax after successfully redeeming the rebate. Good deal if you follow through. Getanet
Sorry to take this topic in a new direction for just a bit, but I saw a news segment over the weekend on operations that sell groceries in bulk - mainly meat - out of refrigerated trucks. The way it works is you go online to find out where their truck will be and what it will be loaded with, and then place your order. They were interviewing people waiting in a church parking lot to buy 40 lb boxes of boneless chicken breasts for $70. They all said the quality of the meat was much better than what you'd find in a grocery store.Has anyone tried anything like this? Seemed interesting - odd but interesting. McGurk
Charcoal- Cowboy brand lump charcoal at most True Value hardware stores: should be $8.99 for a 20 lb bag, normally around $15-$18 for the same sized bag. Here is a shot of the flyer, but you might need to call ahead to see if they stock it and honor the price:

FlagsDown
Just a heads up-they are the enhanced ones.I bought a bunch last year and didn't really like them-a lttle too hammy.Make sure you use a rub that doesn't contain salt.
eyeguy 54
I bought a slug of them last year and loved them as did my guests each time. Grabbed 15 racks today. I make my own rub with no salt and when the racks are thawed I rinse and rinse real good. 2-2-1 method on them about 215 or so. Here's a pic from last fall of some staying warm on the grill after smoking. Mixing half mesquite and hickory.
