Jay Glazer of FOX reports that the Vikings and the Patriots are working on a trade that would send receiver Randy Moss back to Minnesota, the place where his career began.

Glazer reports that the deal, which is close, hinges on the Vikings working out terms of a new contract with Moss, who is signed through 2010.

Ironically, the Vikings were widely believed to have a deal in place with receiver Vincent Jackson, but that they couldn't work out the terms of a trade.

He was completely abscent last night...only the 5th time in his career he's been held without a catch...wonder if these talks have been going on for awhile now?

Would LOVE to see this get done!!

While I think he could do some good this year, I have to stand up and say I don't think it's a good idea to bring him back. It's not him, it's all the other "baggage" that comes with him. He'll want a long, lucrative paycheck/contract and after this year, we'll have no one to throw to him. Plus, I don't even want to think about what they are offering for him as far as draft picks, players...etc. I was glad to see him go, and this year notwithstanding, don't want him in purple again, but what fun it would be to watch this year!!

I bet you were one of those who didn't want Favre to come here either.

I never did understand why the Vikes let the best Wide Receiver in the game go............I bet if he was originally from St. Paul they would have never let him go.................

Obviously would make our team better. Too bad the guy is a total A Hole and question if it would be worth a ton of gauranteed money. Who's to say how quickly Favre can get on the same page as Randy and if Favre gets hurt there is no one to get Moss the ball. Too many question marks for me. Besides we already have two star receivers in Hank Baskett and Greg Lewis anyway.
