fishersofmen
Kubel has been terrible as well. Tired of seeing all these guys wet down their legs when we face this club.
JIvers
1-0 Yankees in the second. And, that should do it--see you next April.
MNpurple
Its actually kind of embarassing the way they play the yanks.
fishersofmen
Yep this one is over after 4 innings, Duensing has already been pulled. I thought we would win one game in this series guess I was wrong. Living in MN this is something we obviously need to get used to. Mediocrity. DTro
The yanks are not a better team by my definition of a better team. really?? LOL
broodwich
I'm not going to feel the least bit sorry for the Twins. They should really be ashamed of how the season ended. To me it's pointless to work so hard to win 90+ games just so the Yankees can come in and roll right over them. The one thing this team needs is a leader. Not one guy on this current roster showed that they can take the reigns and lead a team.
thorski
I hope Twins fans take note of the yankee fans!I agree with broodwich.Maybe next year..."IF" they are lucky enough to win the central....they should hold-off on the champagne party until they make it past the ALDS and not go 3 and out! I was happy the night the won the central but I thought the party after-wards was a little ridicules considering last years play-off performance. thorski
I love the Twins too! Like others, I have spent a lot of time and money supporting this team. The Twins deserve to be criticized for their performance! Good players are suppose to play better in the play-offs!

Sure hope next season when they hoist their 2010 central division champ flag and when gardy schottenheimer and the players get their playoff participation ribbons that they don't celebrate too much and aim for something a little higher. JBMasterAngler
Why was kubel on the playoff roster, let alone allowed to hit with bases loaded and 2 outs in the 8th inning? He's 2 for 29 in the postseason!!! I would've rather had punto up to bat!!!

Antero
Let's see here,Yanks have better starters, better reliefers and a better lineup. How were we going to win ?
fishersofmen
Not to make excuses but the Yanks were waaayyyy underrated going into the playoffs. At least by everyone in this state! This is a very good team that I believe will win it all once again.
thorski
I agree...the yankees are a better all-around team...but geez, not that good! That was embarrassing to watch.A quote from Dan Gladden last night: "the twins didn't even show up to play!"nuff said!

I could see them possibly fighting it out with toronto for 4th place and about 10 games out.
Ryan_V
3 and out again. I turned it off after 4. Love the twins, supported them for years, but it's getting frustrating. I'm kinda glad it's over, now I can focus more on the Vikings, and pull my old #84 jersey out of the closet!!!It was said a few pages up by someone and it's a good assesment, the twins are "The best of the worst, and the worst of the best"

Cause playoff rounds are only 1 game?As my friend said....... The Twins have taken the Yankee curse from the Red Sox ever since we got rid of David Ortiz to the Red Sox in 2002! That was embarrassing to watch.A quote from Dan Gladden last night: "the twins didn't even show up to play!"nuff said! The Twins didnt show up to play a game since they won the central division and it went into the playoff's. I was out in Vegas Thurs-Sun and never again will I wear a Twins jersey outside this state, I got so much you know what after Thurs loss. If there were anybody out here that thought they were going to beat the Yanks, give me what you are taking. Like I told my neighbor before the series started, Yanks sweep in 3 and thats what happened.
soldoncass
Those of you blaming the manager.......NOT his fault. I thought he had the game set up well, with Crain setting up Capps, BUT Crain decided to HANG A BREAKING BALL (2 in a row in fact). I think he was trying to drop a big curveball on him....shoulda stayed with his slider. Manager didn't make the mistake.
