mozy
It's suprising how many people are saying walleye based on the activity in each of the forums. The bass forum is "used" a lot more it seems. Maybe bass fisherman or more passionate? Who knows?Like them both, but would have to lean towards bass based on the majority of the tackle I buy and the percentage of time spent fishing for each. It could have something to do with the fact that I seem to be a terrible walleye fisherman.

south_metro_fish
I am just getting into walleye fishing this year and I am having fun and they taste great. I also like the challenge of catching them too. Bass are fun and there are tons of large bass around because hardly anyone keeps them. I would have to say that I catch most bass just fishing for anything and never really target them but they are fun to catch. Catching smallmouth on the river has been more fun then catching largemouth on the lakes. I would have to say this year walleye is what I am concentrating on most when fishing for a specific species other then pan fish.

Not to take away from this thread or to steer it in any other direction, but my opinion on why the bass forum numbers are higher has to do with the fact that the bass opener was just this past weekend. If you would have looked the weekend or week after walleye opener you would have seen just the opposite of what you are seeing now.

zooks
Bass - all the way - i like a little fight when i catchem - walleye better eatin, but like pulling in a wet towel. You must never have caught a walleye in less than 5ft of water then, cause that's one of the better fights around. Oh yeah, I'll take walleyes every day and twice on Sundays!
