Fishinguy40
Yesterday afternoon, as I crossed the 494-Wakota bridgen on my way home from work, I saw two guys in a boat fishing the Mississippi along the channel markers. Can't wait to get my own boat out of storage!
fishinJohn
The woodchuck that lives under my shed has made his/her first appearance. That and I am firing up the grill tonight, 50 degrees.
Down Deep
Large potholes filled with water & water flowing accross the parking lot. It makes me think of open lakes and stream fishing.
B@ssmaster
I saw two robins in the middle of January outside the building I work at in Fridley. Couldn't beleive it. They've been hanging out around ever since.
Nick Kuhn
I found bird droppings on my car! Oh, and I suppose I heard them too, but the more important thing first...
Hookey
Caught a Sheephead through the ice. I have never caught one in the winter but unfortunatly catch them all the time in the summer. So I guess that is my sign of spring.
kc0myy
I would like to run about another 100 miles on my seld before i put it away for the summer. but I would rather get in my boat and try out my new lowrance x67 in my boat. I am so pumped for the opener.
Wish-I-Were-Fishn
I heard robins this morning. Yeah, I've seen some all winter in the crabapple tree at work. Crazy birds missed their flight.Do a search for robin and you find some pics of robins in winter. And I thought they all flew south!
metrojoe
I can now see all the dog dodo I have to pick up.
Down Deep
Must be spring in Duluth. The weather forcast for today (Tue) is a "Spring Blizzard" up to 14 inches of snow, windchill down to -20 and winds up to 50 MPH. Can't get anymore spring than that. Wish-I-Were-Fishn
I can now see all the dog dodo I have to pick up. Ha! A true sign of spring indeed!
goblueM
Not all robins actually migrate. I see many robins all winter near food sources - primarily fruit producing shrubs and trees. They've been singing a bit more in the last several weeks so you may have noticed them recently, but they've been around all winter! The more you know... Pickelfarmer
Isn't it funny how after a long winter of the same old outdoor sounds, when you walk outside and hear a bird that you haven't heard in months, it sticks out like a sore thumbe??? I walked out of the shop the other day and heard a bird( have no Idea what it was but I know it wasn't a WINTER bird) and thaught ,"AAAAHHHHHHHHHH, Spring.... Really lifts the spirits thats for sure. Even the sight of a Swan or Goose makes the heart skip a beat or two this time of year. I LOVE IT!!! Great POST!!!!
